Lovely building and gorgeous decor however a little over priced for what it was. Not enough selection of sandwiches. I am pregnant so I could only have egg as I can’t eat cream cheese, liver and I don’t like mustard. The cakes weren’t to my tasting however others might like it? They were a little too adventurous and should just be classic
English cakes. Finally, the ladies who served us could have done a little more hosting and made us feel welcome. We felt they were a little ‘fake’ and stand off ish with us throughout our time there. It was my friends 30th birthday and I would have expected a warmer welcome and service but sadly we never got that. We were never asked if we were ok or if they could get us anything else and nothing on the menu was explained to us or recommended. We had to ask twice for another drink and it let the whole experience down. Not entirely sure if I would come back here as you can go to much cheaper and elegant places for afternoon tea. The quantity for the price doesn’t scream value and this is what will let you down.

Pleasant surroundings, seemed understaffed on the day we visited - Had to ask for tea and coffee as it wasn't forthcoming

We had afternoon tea.
The selection of sandwiches and cakes was traditional with a modern twist. Beautiful traditional presentation and very good quality food.
Our waitresses explained that we could change the sandwich option if we wanted to but we were happy with the menu.
The bottomless tea and coffee was appreciated as was the selection of teacand coffee.
The service was excellent and surroundings delightful particularly festive for Christmas.
Any food we couldn't manage was packed up for us to take home.
A wonderful afternoon.

Went immediately after Christmas. It was ok but don’t think it was as good as an afternoon tea taken at the venue earlier in the year.
I was using a gift voucher for two and on arrival l had to pay an extra £5 per head as it was ‘festive’ but not told when I booked with the venue and gave the voucher reference. We were offered mulled wine but it never arrived. I felt we paid extra for lesser quality.
Not a great success this time during the festive season.

Ok. No atmosphere considering it was Christmas Eve. They forgot the mulled wine and bought it to us at the end of the meal. Good nice but expensive for what it was.

The beef and horseradish sandwiches were absolutely delicious. My mum loved the cheddar and chutney so much she’s been out to buy chutney especially for doing her own cheddar and chutney sandwiches over Christmas.
The lady who served us was an absolute delight and made us all feel special especially my mum for her birthday.
Thank you all so much for our first ever Afternoon Tea experience.
We shall be back very soon, probably for nan’s 80th and my friends recent engagement.
Would definitely recommend to everyone.

Very disappointed with visit, have been several times for afternoon tea and have found it a very pleasant experience. Only festive tea available at increased price, with 'complimentary" drink !!!. Sandwiches had been frozen and not fully thawed, turkey sandwiches on white bread and grated cheese, large amount of cakes presented. This is a lovely facility spoilt by presentation of inferior food. I had recommended this to three friends and told them it was a lovely, service and food good, having spent a hundred pounds on this, feel let down.
