Found on its namesake street in well-heeled South Kensington, Launceston Place boasts wide acclaim for its intricately-crafted Modern European cuisine. In 2013, Launceston Place’s ‘Notable Wine List’ AA award was 1 of only 7 awarded to London restaurants that year.
One of London's most exciting chefs, head chef Ben Murphy brings a visionary approach to the Launceston Place menu. Alongside regularly changing market and tasting menus, sublime a la carte dishes include monkfish with banana, onion and red wine, or beef with pear, Stilton and cumin.
The wine list at Launceston Place in Kensington is compiled by award-winning sommelier, Piotr Pietras. Having honed his skills working at some of the best restaurants in London, the team ensures only the finest wines are selected to accompany Chef Murphy’s exquisite food.
An elegantly understated setting, the dining room at Launceston Place in London features light grey walls and plush banquette leather seating. High Street Kensington Tube Station is a 10-minute walk away.

Up market restaurant in a quiet residential area. Great for lunch then a walk in Kensington Gardens, or a dinner to impress.

Lots of creativity in the food, in addition to being delicious. It’s one of our favorite places in London.

The only word that could describe our meal is “ amazing”

Excellent all round as usual. The pre-starter was fantastic, really carefully presented. Service very good, discreet but there when you needed it. A nice touch was a brownie on a 'Congratulations' plate for our son who had just graduated.

Had a lovely tasting menu meal here. Everything was very good. Staff were friendly and attentive without being too attentive. Not cheap but it was a special event meal and a good place to go for a special treat.

We had the lunch menu. The choice was good and the food delicious. We loved the extras like the amuse bouche, the wacky candy floss, the homemade bread and selection of butters, the very tasty yet not heavy food beautifully presented and the selection of petit fours. The staff were very polite and friendly, the wine superb and the venue very pleasant. A truly lovely fine dining experience which was exceptionally good value. We shall be back. Tony and Chrissie
