Restaurant description

One of the West End's most desirable restaurants, L'Atelier de Joël Robuchon serves simple yet exquisite French cuisine courtesy of multi-award-winning Joël Robuchon. This Soho restaurant has been awarded a Michelin star and 3 AA Rosettes.

Influenced by Japanese restaurants, the layout of L'Atelier de Joël Robuchon encourages an engaging dining experience. The eating counter surrounds the open kitchen on the ground floor, inviting diners to converse with the chefs whilst watching them prepare their meal. Unique to Joël Robuchon's London restaurant, you can also interact with other diners whilst sitting opposite each other. A more conventional restaurant setting can be found in La Cuisine on the first floor, where the experience is similar to dining in the kitchen itself.

Within short walking distance of Covent Garden and Leicester Square underground stations, the Soho setting of this internationally acclaimed restaurant makes it perfect for a pre or post-theatre meal in the West End of London. Nearby theatres around this restaurant include the New Ambassador's Theatre, Piccadilly Theatre, Palace Theatre and London Arts Theatre. The comfortable, stylish ambience makes L'Atelier de Joël Robuchon an ideal restaurant in Covent Garden for romantic meals, business dining and special occasions. Valet parking is available and a smart casual dress code is operated (no shorts or trainers).

The food was exquisite and the service was great. The 5-course star deal for £45 is great value for money.

Thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. Made to feel very welcome, service second to none. We arrived early so were able to go upstairs to the bar and enjoy a lovely cocktail. Food was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. It was great fun being able to sit around the side of the kitchen and watch the chefs at work. Excellent value and a lovely evening.

we arrived on time but the table wasn’t ready yet so the staff take us to bar lounge until they will be reqdy for us. they call us 40 min ofter the time and in the time that we wating for they try (and success) to sell us expensive alcohol. I think that if we waiting so much time they need to gave us one glass for free . the food was incredible, interesting and the chef’s was very friendly. i gave 5 stars because the experience worth the money although there was one dishes that we didn’t like (the pork). the best dishes was the calamari, the salmon and the white fisha

The 5 course menu was a great selection of dishes, I particularly liked the stuffed quail and the foie gras amuse-bouche. The recommended wines worked well with the food and the service was good. The only comment I have is the high front of the bar in the L'Atelier made the serving a little bit awkward. The bar area upstairs has a nice atmosphere and worth a visit for post-dinner tipples. All in all one of the best dinners I had this year

I went for the Star Deal of five courses and a glass of champagne for £45. All the food was delicious, especially the glazed quail. Seating was at the counter, and the staff were very friendly, but not intrusive. Good value for the quality for lunch on the deal - but much more expensive without the deal. I'd happily go there again on a deal; not so sure if it was full price.

My fourth time at Joel Robuchon and it never ever fails but to provide utter delight - the food is sensational. Some of the best prepared food in London I think. The plates are beautifully prepared all in front of you and are worth it just for the photo of them. Amazing, amazing place - sort of don't want to say how amazing it is as want to make sure I can get in when I next go.
