We arrived at 12.15 for a table booked for 4 people for a pre-theatre lunch on a weekday when the restaurant was about half-full. The serving staff are excellent; very friendly, menus arrived quickly, order taken promptly however the food is just FAR too slow to arrive. We ordered two starters - we waited 45 minutes for them. Our three main courses (one being just a salad) took a further 20 minutes after that, meaning we had to eat incredibly quickly, pay and go in order to get to the theatre in time for a 2pm performance. There was barely time to finish the mains let alone order dessert or coffee. What should have been a leisurely lunch was a frustrating, rushed meal. The waiter kindly discounted the bill for us to compensate for the incredibly long wait, but I'm afraid we won't be visiting again.

We thought food was good but decor a bit dated. It still looks the same as it did years ago.

The vegetarian and vegan options are fabulous and compromise on nothing. Easy booking, great service and great tasting food at very decent prices. The welcoming feel and comfort of the restaurant adds to the pleasure of being there.
