Retaining many of its original features, Lambs restaurant is one of the oldest buildings in Stratford-Upon-Avon. The menu draws upon British and Mediterranean influences, using fresh, local produce to create hearty, flavoursome dishes.
Guests can tuck into a breast of Gressingham duck with cabbage, bacon and croquette potatoes, or savour the forest mushroom risotto with parmesan crisp and truffle oil. Other enticing offerings include baked figs with blue cheese and serrano ham, and home-cured and Applewood-smoked salmon with celeriac rémoulade. Lambs also offers a special fish menu complete with Cornish crab and clam linguine, and crispy squid with chorizo, chickpeas and sun-dried tomatoes.
For dessert, guests can try a coffee and Tia Maria cheesecake, vanilla panna cotta or cheese and biscuits with quince jelly. Lambs restaurant in Stratford also boasts a children’s menu and a lengthy wine list. The smart décor befits the original oak beams and low ceilings of this 16th-century inn.
A short stroll from the River Avon, Lambs restaurant is a 12-minute walk from Stratford-Upon-Avon Train Station.

Excellent food and service at Lambs - as ever

Difficult to choose from the tempting dishes on the menu with all dishes having individual vegetable selections. The food was hot and served speedily, but we didn't feel rushed. Our only complaint over many years of visiting this restaurant is that they don't serve J20 and our son has to make do with apple juice!

A warm and welcoming experience. My guests were late and a lovely waitress took the time to talk to me and help me not feel awkward on my own. Very good starters and main courses. . The lamb was tasty as was the pheasant. The waitresses were charming and attentive throughout. Tasty house champagne.

Food was wonderful - my son & I had 2 courses of the set menu which was excellent value for money & quality. Service was great - professional and assistance with menu. Dietary requirement advice was given straight away. None of the usual comments 'I'll have to check with the chef/kitchen - hang on...' Thoroughly enjoyable evening - thanks all - very happy customer.
