La Vela is synonymous with Mediterranean flair and fine Italian food – and it has the port of Hamburg as its backdrop. The chef Domenico Mazziotta learned his trade in Italy and has since refined his skills in the art of haute cuisine. Domenico only uses the finest and freshest ingredients which are then prepared using high quality olive oil. The evening menu offers a selection of seasonal dishes which means that diners can look forward to a new menu every six weeks. As for lunch there is a new selection of dishes every week. The Vela occupies what was once a harbour mill on Große Elbstraße by the fish market - the perfect spot for you to enjoy culinary delights in the elegant surroundings of the dining room or out on the terrace which overlooks the water.
