La Era is located in the village of Yaiza, part of the southern district of the same name. It is an idyllic village with a population of nearly 3,500, and is known for its white houses and proximity to the Timanfaya National Park. The restaurant boasts wonderful gardens and a magical wine cellar, not forgetting the charming dining rooms (the oldest of which is over 300 years old) that are decorated with murals by César Manrique featuring fishing, agriculture and wine-making as well as images of Lanzarote before the arrival of tourism. Local festivities are celebrated on the 8th September (Virgen de los Remedios). The restaurant was opened in 1969.
