Restaurant description

Thriving in the heart of Glasgow's Theatreland district, AA Rosette awarded La Bonne Auberge has served only the finest of French Mediterranean cuisine, since 1975.

An original French Mediterranean brasserie and bar in Glasgow, La Bonne Auberge continues to serve meals created from the finest ingredients to deliver delicious dishes for every diner. Signature meals from executive head chef Gerry Sharkey include the tender pork fillet and char-grilled lamb rump, which exude quality with a hint of French flair.

Encircled by some of Glasgow’s top theatres, including Kings and Glasgow Royal Concert Hall, La Bonne Auberge presents a fine venue for pre-theatre and a la carte dining in a calm and casual environment. The brasserie is also within easy reach of the city’s shops and only a 10-minute walk from Glasgow Central Station.

With its fine French food, excellent value for money meals and central location, it's no wonder that La Bonne Auberge remains one of the most popular eating spots in Glasgow.

Dishes displayed on a la carte menus are representative of the type of food available at the restaurant.

Afternoon tea was a huge disappointment. The “cakes” were the sort of thing you get at the supermarket at 12 for a quid, and they didn’t even list the teas—when I asked, they brought out five cheap teabags to choose from. Not worth the price, even at 2 for 1.

First off was the welcome and the service which was warm and genuine. The food was first class and the choice of wine very good and affordable.

Really great lunchtime special delivered quickly which we needed as we had a deadline. Very good attention to one diner who needs a gluten free diet. Excellent all round

I and my cousins enjoy the food although we all hate different things . May I suggest you have in future deserts which the main ingredients are fruit?
