The food was excellent. Good choice of dishes and reasonably priced.
I had the spicy chicken panini which was plentiful.
I didn't enjoy the butterscotch milkshake, was like an angel delight in a glass , but that could just be me.

Sadly this visit was not the best visit. I have been before with friends/family and had a great time, but sadly this time was not the best.
Admittedly we arrived 5 minutes late (The Leeds roads are a nightmare if you don't normally drive round them) but we were seated quite quickly and given some menus to browse. After a few minutes our order was taken, (3 of us, all having food and a drink) and we waited whilst watching the cats.
However, after 15 minutes we still hadn't received our food or drink. My friend was getting concerned we wouldn't finish in time before we had to leave, and started becoming quite anxious. Thankfully a staff member who had just started came up to us soon after and asked how our food was, which prompted the "We haven't had any food yet" conversation. She apologised and went to go and investigate. All this time our friend is getting more anxious that we would be late for her appointment afterwards. Eventually the food and drink came out, but we only had 20 minutes left in our booking. The staff did say they would try and extend our booking, but we couldn't stay longer as we had an appointment to take our friend to, so we felt very much stuck quickly eating our food/drink and rushing off, without really letting our friend relax with the cats (and she loves cats!).
Overall our experience wasn't "ruined" as such, but it definitely wasn't the best we've had. I may visit again, but I'd make sure we didn't have anything else planned for afterwards next time.

Hi, the food was good but we were appalled at the ‘welfare charge’. It was a surprise and was excessively high. We always planned to buy food at the cafe and we’re disappointed you had taken money off us before we even entered. The atmosphere in the cafe was nice but again, we were rather disappointed with the low numbers of cats around. We will not be recommending and we won’t be back.

The cafe itself is lovely, well set out, good choice on menu of food and drinks. Service was a little slow and not overly friendly. Too many young children there, noisy and chasing cats. Would be vastly improved if limit of age of kids applied as other places do. Cats clearly well cared for but due to the kids it did not have the relaxed vibe of other cat cafes.

We arrived 15 minutes early and was told to come back at the time we booked. We came back and then did not get sat down until 10 minutes after as there was a queue but we were told that we only had an hour. We ordered our food and drinks but it took 30 mins for a waitress to bring any food but unfortunately it was our puddings and not our main course. It then took a further 10 minutes to get our main course which was then followed by the puddings only 5 minutes later whilst we were still eating our main course. We were then informed we only had a short time left before we had to leave but we had not had time to eat our food. We did not appreciate the feeling of being rushed.

We enjoyed our 1st time at the kitty cafe, the atmosphere is really laid back and relaxing, it's lovely to watch the cats being happy and content. The entry fee is steep as it quickly racks up a big bill. For us 3 (2 adults & 1 child) it cost £16 entry, then we each had a meal deal with a side of wedges which totalled to £40.30, which is reasonable but combined with entry it tipped the balance to £56.30, which is a lot! But since it was for my Daughter's Birthday, I didn't mind just this once. The staff were friendly & helpful, but I think they're understaffed at the moment as the food took about 35 mins and the place wasn't full. But on a positive note the food was great! So we'll probably go back, but not for a long while.

Loved the decor - really funky. Unfortunately we were sat on the 1st table by the door. Despite the 2 door system, there was a cold draught coming through at all times which meant we were cold even though it’s August and my daughter couldn’t take her coat off. Staff were all very helpful and polite. Cats were hilarious with their antics but sadly not particularly interested in being stroked, not even 1 of the 27. Most were skittish and ran off as soon as you tried to fuss them.
Food was disappointing and slow to arrive. I had quesadilla which was ok but accompanied by some sad looking lettuce without any dressing. My son had the chicken wrap where the chicken was so tough he could barely bite through it. Very dry and over cooked.

We have been to the Kitty cafe before several times and enjoyed our visits. Our recent visit was rather disappointing. My daughter's friend is diabetic so when we placed our order I asked how long it would take as she has to inject insulin a certain amount of time before eating. We were told that our order would be "literally 2 minutes". Because it was going to be so quick we decided to wait until the order arrived, then my daughter's friend could see the size or portion and then would be able to calculate the amount of insulin she needed. Then there would be plenty of time for her to wait for 15 minutes before eating, allowing the insulin time to be absorbed. Unfortunately, our food arrived 25 minutes later, so a good job she hadn't injected straight away. She then had to wait 15 minutes before she could eat so by the time she had eaten it was getting close to the end of our hour slot. Also, the hot chocolate she ordered was undrinkable - it was so bitter there was no way I could have even drunk it. Because she couldn't drink this we had to then try to make up some of the sugars with another item as she had calculated the hot chocolate as part of her insulin dose. Therefore we asked the waitress if she could bring her a rose lemonade as that was suitable. I stressed that she did need it straight away. This was brought to us very quickly but, even though I had explained the situation and said that the hot chocolate was undrinkable there was no comment at all about this. I would have thought that the least they could have done was to knock that off the bill for us. So a disappointing visit. For the four of us that day we had, a drink each and 3 cakes and it was very expensive for what we got and that, coupled with the fact that you also have to pay to enter the cafe, made it a very expensive visit indeed and I won't be going back there any time soon because of this. We could have had a full meal elsewhere at a similar cost.

It’s a fantastic place especially for Cat lovers and children. I took my niece and nephew and they absolutely loved it. It’s just a shame that you can’t have longer than an hour. Time went quick for them. Myself and my sister had cheesecake and it was to die for it was so yummy. I would recommend all my friends and family to kitty cafe. I’ll deffo be back

Lovely food. Nice clean cafe. Customer service not the best, dont think they know how to smile! Waited ages for someone to take our order, then after eating we tried to order two drinks for the children to share as we knew we wouldnt have alot of time left in our 1 hour slot to drink all 4! When finally order we ask for the cokes to be told, "you only have 20 mins left to stay, your supposed to order everything together!" I had to tell the waiter, " i'm sure we can mange two drinks in 20 mins we are just thirsty." Nowhere does it say this n if kids want a desert are they ment to know if they have room for it when we order? Dont like the process of getting you in and rushing you, didnt feel relaxed at all. Waiter and waitresses ignored you when you tried to get their attension, so spent quite awhile trying to order food and then the two drinks. This were my experience, im quite a positive person not a moan about everything. I hope this were a one off experience, the cafe was lovely, got a few lovely photos of the cats and cafe. Little dissapointed not to see more cats. Hope this review helps someone. We agreed we would never go back as the service is deffinately not worth the money! ??
