This is our GO TO local restauraunt and we have been going for years. We always have a wonderful evening. The food is excellent and the staff polite, helpful and not too invasive. Value for money - very good comparing to other restaurants of this type in London.

We had a 2-courses lunch on a Saturday and we enjoyed it very much. Both dishes (starter and main) were well designed and executed with top-rate materials. All ingredients were tasty and perfectly harmonized: even without sparkles, you could say there is a starred chef behind it. The bill was so light and the meal delightful that we'll soon visit again.

Dinner was a great experience. The restaurant is cozy but very nice, and the staff was friendly and professional. The food was excellently prepared and presented and the meal was a delight. This was our first Valentine's Day celebratory dinner together as a couple (albeit a couple of days late) and it was all we could have hoped for. Thanks to the staff and the chef!

Nice place, nice food. It is a pity that certain customers do not know how to behave in a public place, and that the staff did not seem to mind.

Third time visiting and yet to be disappointed - fantastic, attentive service without being too visible and distracting; gorgeous food and plating; standout dish was probably the passionfruit sorbet (simple presentation was at first a little underwhelming, but once the eating began it was just a sublime end to an amazing meal.)

Wonderful food and service. My favourite place especially for the wonderful set menu!!

Really nice food. We went for the 6-7pm set menu deal which was a good value for money. The only drawback was that the waitress was not sensitive enough to 3 young women eating early, all from the set menu when she was recommending the wines. We felt a bit pressured to go for the more expensive ones as she didn`t offer us the range of prices.

I returned with my wife as the first time i came to Kitchen W8 I was descending rapidly into a bout of flu and didn't appreciate it as i should. It all looked and felt right and my wife loved it. That's a good barometer as she has no patience with over-wrought michelin food.
So the return was good but not great. We both struggled to find a starter that grabbed our interest and ended up choosing the "least worst " sounding. My wife had the cauliflower dish and i the crab soup. Both excellent.
I enjoyed my quail main, my wife thought the pork belly dull.
Deserts of pear and passion fruit sorbet good but not exciting.
Wine choices are good, well priced and the availability of good wine by carafe is very customer friendly.

So, a very good, well priced meal - much to recommend.
What might stop me returning is the pace of the meal. It's much too fast. We hadn't finished our champagne aperos before the starter arrived. This meant that the carafe of white to drink with starters was, to a degree, wasted.
I asked for the main to be slowed and was told it would be 15 mins. It wasn't, it was less than 10. I felt that the customer is required to adapt to the needs of an efficient kitchen. This spoiled the experience a little.
We arrived a little before our 8 pm reservation and, despite trying to slow things were paying the bill before 9.30. I can't be alone in thinking this is too fast to be convivial.
