Restaurant description

Arguably the most exciting restaurant launch in The Savoy's illustrious 125-year history, Kaspar's offers dazzling views of the River Thames and London landmarks. This informal yet luxurious dining experience evokes elegant 1920s style, where guests can indulge in sublime seafood specialities whilst envisaging the hotel’s rich and glamorous heritage.

Headed by a range of fresh and smoked fish and delicious fresh seafood, the Kaspar’s menu sees the finest ingredients sourced from across the British Isles, like Dover sole with brown butter caper sauce, Isle of Skye lobster, or native Loch Ryan oysters. Dishes from the land include venison shepherd’s pie with cranberries, or grilled Salt Marsh lamb cutlets.

Luxury classic cocktails and sensitively-sourced wines complement the simple menu at this Savoy restaurant, and a hearty breakfast menu is served from early morning until lunch. Enjoy morning indulgence of grilled kippers, or lobster and prawn frittata at Kaspar’s in London.

Glittering mirrors, polished brass fittings and a chequerboard marble floor evoke the glamour of the 1920s. Kaspar’s on the Strand is a 5-minute walk from Charing Cross stations.

The meal was excellent! The staff were very attentive and helpful. Willing to explain everything, they took time to speak with us to ensure we knew what everything was, and understood the menu. Also, just to talk to us. Couldn’t fault anything thoroughly enjoyable experience.

I was concerned that I wouldn’t enjoy that lovely room I haven’t been for a while due to illness and didn’t like the name you have given it. However in spite of this we had a lovely table by the window,a super meal and your usual very attentive service but discreet. The name and description almost put me off bringing my friend for her birthday. Thank you

Impeccable and very personal service. The lighting is a striking feature of the decor. Food fabulous and sommelier helped us choose the perfect wine accompaniment. Loved it.

The best part was people watching ... and explemlary service ... Starters was salmon and needed more cooking for my taste.. . Quail was delightful but such a small sliver ... and the cheese board at £9 extra was delicious but £9 extra was excessive. Chablie £55 fabulous.. perfectly chilled But pricey and £19 for a Port with the cheese was expensive. Overpriced but you are eating at Yhe Savoy

It was fine although I thought a bill of £144 for two when ordering off the set lunch menu with just one sweet and one glass of wine each was a tad expensive

Staff were very attentive and food /wine was excellent. My only criticism is that we had booked for pre-theatre menu and we had to specifically ask for this as in first instance we were given the a la carte menu - this could have been viewed as an "upselling" tactic which may make some customers feel uncomfortable. To be clear, I had no problem asking for the menu we had booked.
