The food is very good at this restaurant. We ate here on a Thursday evening and there was a distinct lack of atmosphere, even though there were several other diners. We expected more ‘engagement’ when asking about the food on the menu so were left to decide for ourselves, which was a pity as they weren’t busy so should have been able to take the time.

YOU MUST EAT HERE. The food was amazing. Great flavours, good portion sizes and excellently presented to the customer. The service staff were very friendly and met our every need. The poached egg starter was absolutely delicious, wonderful flavours and everything complimented each other. As we were celectrating 2 birthdays the staff and chef made an extra effort to make it special for us. There is not one thing I could say that we did not enjoy. The cocktails and drinks were really nice. At the end of the night when the bill came we were pleasantly surprised as it wasn’t too expensive. If your in Croydon YOU MUST TRY THIS RESTAURANT!!!

Very pleasant 4 course dinner in European style and a first in this modern Indian restaurant. My wife regarded the mille feuille of asparagus the No 1 dish, and I the jerusalem artichoke soup had that key position. Manoj is a very talented chef in both cuisines

We booked a table for Sunday Brunch a family meal to celebrate a milestone birthday. The setting was attractive and relaxed and the service attentive. Food was wonderful and beautifully presented and we loved trying new dishes and flavour combinations. Thank you, we will be back!

We had a wonderful meal at the Karnavar. It was our third visit. We had the crayfish and pakora to start and the chicken supreme and Lababdaar chicken curry. Delicious. Unfortunately we were too full for a dessert.

We enjoyed the 5 course tasting menu on a fairly quiet Wednesday night and had a fantastic time. The presentation and flavours were beautiful, as were the wine pairings. A personal favourite was the fennel smoke being released from the cloche on the salmon course. £60 a head was brilliant value for money. What made the evening even more special was Turgo, the new manager. He was extremely attentive and full of information. Upon hearing that we had just moved to the area, he brought us a complimentary welcome cocktail. Before that one was finished, he was walking over with another one! So happy to have this restaurant a short walk away. We will be back again and will be telling friends and family to visit too!
