Relatively unexplored, Northeastern Indian cuisine is defined by its own unique flavours and combinations, quite different from cuisine elsewhere in the country, and is known for its use of bamboo shoots, mustard oil and fermented vegetables.
At Kanishka Restaurant savour modern interpretations of traditional dishes, all made using local produce keeping in mind core values of the cuisine. Signature offerings on the Kanishka menu, which changes seasonally, include Atul’s chicken tikka pie, banana leaf-steamed sea bass with sorrel chutney, or venison steak with grilled apple and aubergine. The venison starter and main were both delicious and presentation was excellent.

High quality and great value on Bookatable deal. Don't go expecting an up-market Curry, this is very different food almost a hybrid between Indian and spicy Chinese. We saw enough to mean we will be back to try the main menu.

Nice restaurant, good choice for lunch
