The Jöro menu uses only the freshest seasonal ingredients that are locally sourced to craft inventive small plate recipes. Eclectic dishes on regularly updated tasting menus include barbecued Lincolnshire sweetcorn with a shiitake XO emulsion and kimchi, and seafood options like poached Scottish salmon with a sauce of burnt cream and lovage with Autumn vegetables.
Desserts at Jöro in Sheffield are just as inventive, with curious treats like brown butter ice cream with rum and muscovado caramel and miso treacle pudding. There are drink pairings with each course, and a diverse wine list with different organic vintages, as well as international whiskies.
An exciting dining concept with flawless execution, Jöro is a 6-minute drive from Sheffield Rail Station.

Superb 12-course tasting menu. Each course had great depth of flavor and was immaculately presented. My favourite was the pork belly with ketchup, the pork having a smokey, crispy edge from being BBQ cooked. The restaurant has an informal, lively ambience and the serving staff were very helpful in explaining the dishes and keeping the drinks and cutlery topped up.

The food and service at Jöro was incredible, however, the acoustics in the venue weren't the best. Our table was located next to the kitchen, just by a loud music speaker and close to a very noisy [and very drunk] party of 6 so there was a lot of noise to contend with from all angles. The nature of the building [repurposed shipping containers] understandably made the space tight and the tables close, but I feel more could be done to address the issue with the acoustics so you don't have to hear other tables' conversations bouncing around. We ended up moving tables halfway through our meal to a quieter area of the restaurant and it did help but it was still awkward to hear properly. Despite the sound issues and the noisy party of 6 the experience overall was really good. The food was next-level and like nothing i've experienced in Sheffield before. The staff were very insightful and took time to explain all aspects of the dishes + did what they could to accommodate our needs, they were brilliant. I would definitely rate our overall experience as 5-star if the venue lived up to the level of the food and service.

Fabulous meal for my birthday - not one course amongst the 12 (well 14 if you include the nibbles and petits fours) that I didn't enjoy. Staff were fabulous too. Excellent drinks menu, my husband had great cider which is a rare find! Only downside is the loos - particularly the gents, which need some attention.

We were excited about trying Jöro even before we got there and it delivered in fine style, from food to drink to staff! It was brilliant!

We thoroughly enjoyed the food and wine; however, the closeness of the tables and loudness of the music meant that it was at times fairly hard to have a conversation at the table.

High quality cooking presented with care and attention to detail. Traditional flavours matched with modern techniques and an adventurous drinks list. Service was smooth, efficient and well informed. The celeriac and barley risotto dishes were both exceptional.

We enjoyed a really lovely 5 plate taster meal , off the afternoon menu . The quality of the food and the varying flavours , textures and presentation were spot on . The staff were friendly and efficient in their service . They were also very knowledgeable about the produce served and gave short descriptions of each course delivered to the table .This was done without interfering with our own personal enjoyment .We did not feel rushed in between the varying plates (as we had experienced at another similar establishment ) The service was delivered at our pace . Really lovely afternoon spent . Food and service excellent .Only downside is that it is quite expensive to do on a regular basis but great for special occasions and the odd treat . P.S the only minor complaint was that there was a cold draft every time anyone opened the door to come in or go out to the toilet .

The food was fantastic each of the 12 courses were distinctive and beautiful. Sitting at chefs table gave a great incite in to the working of the kitchen, the shear amount of hard work, dedication to detail and discipline required to create and deliver a wonderful meal. The wine pairing was excellent and we were very glad we shared the one wine pairing. Jöro is not cheap, but for a special occasion it is well worth the money for the devine food and experience
