I have been to Joro about ten times. Every time the food has been excellent and the service great. It is Michelin style and quality. The Sussex bubbles are great too. Whenever I have international visitors I always bring them and they have all been impressed!

Holding 2 AA Rosettes and a Michelin Bib Gourmand, Jöro is a bold, modern setting that takes inspiration from nature. Creative small plate dishes are the main focus, allowing diners to craft their own meals made up of a diverse range of colours and flavours.

The Jöro menu uses only the freshest seasonal ingredients that are locally sourced to craft inventive small plate recipes. Eclectic dishes on regularly updated tasting menus include barbecued Lincolnshire sweetcorn with a shiitake XO emulsion and kimchi, and seafood options like poached Scottish salmon with a sauce of burnt cream and lovage with Autumn vegetables.

Desserts at Jöro in Sheffield are just as inventive, with curious treats like brown butter ice cream with rum and muscovado caramel and miso treacle pudding. There are drink pairings with each course, and a diverse wine list with different organic vintages, as well as international whiskies.

An exciting dining concept with flawless execution, Jöro is a 6-minute drive from Sheffield Rail Station.

We had the 10 course tasting menu. The food was absolutley beautiful. The meal was started with freashly made sour dough bread and an assortment of amazing snacks such as lintseed crisps with goats cheese and cod cheek croquets. Each course that followed was a flavour sensation, every item on the plate had a purpose and the whole dish worked together amazingly. My favourite dish was the pork belly with pickled cucumber and kimchi and my fiancees favourite dish was the celaric with onions. Other stand out dishes include the barbecued tenderstem brocoli with aged parmasan and also the blackcurrrent and sorel palete cleanser. Overall we highly reccomend the resurant and the tasting menu in particular.

The whole experience was amazing. Everyone knew all the details of the meals as we had the taster meal. The quality of the food was excellent and full of flavour. Would definitely recommend the taster meal.

Unbelievably impressed with this restaurant. Innovative, well balanced and well executed dishes. Superb value. Service a little fraught, but well meaning. Cannot wait to return.

Took our friend for a birthday present for the taster menu and we were not disappointed. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. The service was fab and the ambience was nice and relaxed- it didn't feel pretentious at all. We had a lovely evening.

This was a stunning experience. We met with some friends and took the 8 course taster menu, ordering a couple of bottles of wine (but not the additional wine course).

The flavours were outstanding. Original dishes, well presented and all delicious in different ways. Favourites for our table were the barbecued asparagus, the sesame duck and the broccoli stems. Great wine, and the waiter was very knowledgeable in helping us choose some suitable bottles.

The atmosphere was friendly and welcoming, not at all stuffy or pretentious. As soon as we walked in the relaxed tone was set by the maître d, who showed us to the table and explained how everything worked; she was very friendly and as the evening went on discussed various dishes with us, informing us about some of the ingredients, what they grow on site and background into the wine producers. All the staff were attentive, helpful and seemed to be enjoying the whole experience as much as we were.

The only negative was that it was quite loud in the restaurant - it's not a big room and when busy there was a lot of background noise, making it hard to hear our friends opposite us at the table without raising our voices. This did improve as the evening went on as it thinned out a bit.

I considered it good value for money considering the quality of food and service we got. It's clear that a great deal of effort goes into the food, and the staff are well trained, passionate and know what they're talking about. It's not somewhere where you'll leave feeling absolutely stuffed so don't go in starving, but you do get a decent amount of snacks, starters, mains and dessert if you take the tasting menu.

Overall, a delightful treat that I'd happily recommend to anyone who's into relaxed fine dining. Great to see something like this doing well in Sheffield.

We were a party of 5 and took the 8 course tasting menu. The dishes were very interesting and clever, favourites being a black pudding with apple jelly, the cod loin and the duck.
