We were a little late and one of our party had popped in twice and then popped out much to the staffs amusement. Our table was near the back of the restaurant as requested. The atmosphere is warm and relaxing and the staff are lovely. We all ordered different starters and mains and every dish was great. Love this restaurant, non of my friends had been before but they all intend to return with their partners

They had ran out of about 40% of the menu by 7pm despite it being Valentine’s Day, it was cold in the restaurant however when I said something did change it. We got out sharing starter which was really nice however when our mains came it was clear they had been cooked too early and left under some form of heater as the chicken was tough and steak over cooked. The service was ok - not bad and not good.

Hi, I booked on line for a reservation for 2 at York on Saturday 28 January at 7.30and was thoroughly disappointed. We arrived and were shown to a window seat. After about 10 minutes waitress arrived to take our drinks order then about 10 minutes later came back with no drinks and took our food order. After another still no drinks, my firms went to the bar and asked and were told they would be along shortly. 15 minutes later our starters arrived and still no drink who h we again has to ask for. Eventually they came. During this time there was only us left in the restaurant and people coming to the door were being turned away saying there was a maintenance problem in the kitchen. When our main course came it wasn't very hot and when waitress came and asked if meal was ok we told her it wasn't very hot, she offered to 're heat it but as it was spaghetti we didn't want it warmed up. We finished our drinks but were not asked if we wanted more. We finished the meal and when my friend went to pay the bill she couldn't get to the bar because it was littered with dirty glasses. All in all it was not a pleasant experience. We also has no alloy from any of the staff.
