Fast efficient service. Disappointed with Tempura starter as it was not tempura batter and was heavy and stodgy. Octopus starter chewy with poor batter, rillettes of duck v.cold straight from the fridge. 3 main courses of liver very good as were ribs. Creamed spinach odd tasting as something had been added with strong aniseed flavour. Chairs very hard and uncomfortable

Delighted, as always. I am a regular. Everything on the menu is excellent, burgers, steaks and hot dog are favourites of mine.

Everything was very good. Been before so knew it would be good. The piano player also obliged and played music for me.

Always lovely but when in a party of 5 the little round tables are a bit of a squash would be my only criticism... Service and food great.

We were very well looked after, our food was lovely and there is a wide choice. There is a pianist playing and this was thoroughly enjoyable.

Our experience at Joe Allan's was absolutely fantastic. It was my wife's 30th and they brought some nice sparkling wine to the table on the house. For a starter I had the steak tartare and my wife had the vegetable tempura. Both were absolutely delicious, couldn't fault them. The steak tartare had just the right balance of cornichons, capers and tabasco....but my only complaint no egg yolk on the top! The tempura was lovely, crisp and light and very tasty starter. The mains were just as good, I had the confit of duck leg with braised red cabbage and dauphinoise potatoes, my wife had a steak with pepper sauce and dauphinoise potatoes. Both mains were delicious, the duck just melted in your mouth and the cabbage was a nice sweet and sour partner for the gameiness of the bird. My wife's steak was nicely charred and cooked to a perfect pink! We had no deserts as we were running a wee bit late for the show, but I did fancy quite a few of them. We're hoping to be back in London in October with the children this time and would definately take them to Joe's.
