Delighted, as always. I am a regular. Everything on the menu is excellent, burgers, steaks and hot dog are favourites of mine.

A hidden gem surrounded by the shops and theatres of Covent Garden, Joe Allen is a highly regarded restaurant serving a selection of American and European specialities.
Ideally located for a pre-theatre meal or for dinner after the show, nearby theatres include The Lyceum, Novello Theatre and Duchess Theatre, as well as the Fortune Theatre and Theatre Royal. Joe Allen is also a great destination for a special brunch, lunch or dinner when shopping or staying in one of the hotels around Covent Garden and on the Strand.
Opened in 1977 as a stylish London dining venue for theatre-goers, artists, journalists and performers alike, Joe Allen has a relaxed, casual feel throughout. Today the healthy cuisine and friendly atmosphere attract an eclectic clientele of the West End's young and trendy crowd, romantic couples and families.

Dreadful food but fun place. Service was great, can't recommend any dishes at all. How can you mess up a Caesar Salad for goodness sake? A trained monkey could make a better hot dog. Awful gnocchi.

Good atmosphere and decent menu. Second time I have been here in the last month and again it is let down by being stifling hot. Why they cannot use their air conditioning is bizarre, or cheapskate. Couldn't go back or recommend until they sort it out.

Lovely as always.
Attentive staff, fabulous food and a great atmosphere.
I always come here when I'm at a show in London.
I would love to see more catering towards dairy free, specifically cow dairy.

Always a good vibe.
Prefer to be seated downstairs.
Tables are too close together.

First visit. Crowded and busy so buzzy atmosphere. We were rushed for time as going to theatre. Staff brilliant and all our orders were quick. Food excellent. Would definitely come again. i took my daughters. My wife came 2 weeks ago and recommended it. She was right.

The meal was perfectly fine. Still have the silly: Oh, the burger is a secret.

Great food, great atmosphere but unbearably warm inside - no aircon on; it was stifling.

We were delighted with this discovery. Its a real gem and so convenient for the theatres nearby. Set menu is remarkable value for central London - staff were friendly and very efficient. The cheese and bacon croquettes melted in the mouth!
