Probably one the worst burger I ever had. However, service was good, attentive, desert also good.

The set menu had a good choice of starters, main dishes and desserts. We liked the food very much, simple and tasty.
We did not like the loud music. I was relieved that the waiter turned it down after I asked him.
I am surprised loud music should be a feature of so many restaurants in central London. For us, a mix of young and older, it is not conducive to a relaxing dining experience.
Otherwise the service was good and we enjoyed the food.

Starter of crispy fried squid was my favourite dish.
Loved the red primativo wine too.
The beef was not what I was expecting. I ordered chianti beef stew but although tender it seemed a different dish altogether more of a tagliata no lovely wine gravy.
That said our waiter was lovely knowledgeable about the wines and fun.

We had the fixed price menu which was good value with two courses for £15. The starter turned up within seconds which gave the impression of mass production and rather large. It felt like a quick turnover restaurant, so ok for a quick bite.

Food was excellent and good value. The service was also impeccable with very friendly waiters and a good ambiance for dinner before going to the opera.

The service was excellent. The food ok. But there were far too many tables and so it was very cramped. The acoustics are awful - you have to shout to be heard. We were in the basement area which was fractionally quieter, but we had a chef next to us making fresh pasta in a machine which droned on and on.

Wonderful setting, and the value for money was unreal! Beautiful big dishes.
