Set within a majestic Grade II-listed building, Jamie’s Italian Cambridge serves sumptuous Italian treats from the industry giant, Jamie Oliver. Obscure bauble light fittings and retro tiling across the bar evoke an on-trend vibe.

Launched in partnership with Jamie’s Italian mentor, Gennaro Contaldo, the menu at Jamie's Italian showcases dishes made with responsibly sourced, high-welfare and sustainable ingredients. Tuck into food you’d find people eating all over Italy, including pasta that's hand made on-site every morning, sumptuous antipasti planks loaded with delicious ingredients, and fresh meat and fish dishes.

From the bar you can order from a selection of easy-drinking wines, served alongside ‘Jamie’s choice’ vintages, whilst the Florence Fizz heads a vibrant cocktail selection at Jamie's Italian in Cambridge. A unique twist for younger diners sees them select their award-winning food choices from a viewfinder menu.

Within a prime setting in the revamped Guildhall, Jamie’s Italian Cambridge is encircled by the historic colleges of the University of Cambridge.

We went for a post-theatre dinner at Jamie’s. Really love setting but unfortunately service very slow and food was very average. I had the vegetable antipasti platter for starter and it was rancid! The vegetables had fermented and tasted awful! Waiter took plate away but I did not receive a satisfactory explanation as to what had gone wrong. I was offered another starter. I chose arancini which were lovely. Main courses were average. My partner had vegetarian bolognase which was quite bland and tasteless.
Despite having a 40% off mains voucher, it was an expensive meal which was not justified by poor quality of the food and service. Won’t be going back again.

Lovely food, especially the Italian nachos I had to start. Very good service. I was too full for a third course but the coffee was really good!

Restaurant let the whole experience down we have been many times to this restaurant as it’s good for young families. This time however we were really disappointed with the experience. To start with, we had to ask to move tables as we felt cramped in the corner table by the kitchen serving area and staff service point (surely nobody wants to sit there?!). Then we were disappointed when the food arrived. My husband normally loves the brioche burger at a Jamie’s. The version which arrived this time was much smaller than normal. When this was mentioned to the staff, the rely was, “oh, well we’ve changed suppliers”. Seems that Jamie’s are trying to reduce costs and certainly for the benefit of the customer. At £15.50 for a burger, this reasoning doesn’t seem appropriate. The children had the meatballs and again, these seemed to have changed. The pasta sauce was thin and watery and the portions appeared smaller. We won’t be back for a while.

Our table was booked for 7pm but we weren't seated til 7.30pm. There was another party taking too long with the table, and the staff were unable to move them to the bar or hurry them along. We booked this table weeks ago so the staff should have been prepared. We were treated as if we were an annoyance and no amends were made once seated. A gesture of goodwill would have been nice. Food was nice at least.

It’s a beautiful restaurant with great staff but the food wasn’t amazing and the toilets were filthy. Disappointing.
