Bringing something distinctly out of the ordinary to Edinburgh, Indaba serves an eclectic selection of Spanish, South African and Venezuelan cuisine, with the majority being gluten-free.
Using fresh, locally sourced produce, the Indaba menu features a range of bold dishes from the owners’ respective countries of Spain, South Africa and Venezuela. The tapas on offer include gluten-free South American arepa, with vegetarian Macsweens haggis being a popular option. There are celebrated South African delicacies like boerewars, mielie pap and chakalaka sauce, and fresh seafood specialities include Spanish-style calamari, and lightly salted fishcakes.
A special ‘trio’ dessert choice is available at Indaba Edinburgh, for diners having a hard time choosing. This includes a small portion of the desserts of the day. As well as a full wine list, there is beer from Barcelona on draft, and a range of spirits.
Offering an eclectic taste of world cuisine, Indaba restaurant is 7 minutes’ drive from Haymarket Rail Station.
