The Il Paradiso has the touch of an old-fashioned Italian country house with chandeliers, curved mirrors and pictures on the walls. But that is not actually the reason for going to this restaurant, even if it is a good place to sit and relax. The attraction at the Il Paradiso is clearly the food itself. This is one of the best Italian restaurants for miles around - and the owners are from Tunisia. Be that as it may, gourmet and gourmand guides wax lyrical about the restaurant, which cooks Sicilian food with a hint of North Africa. Il Paradiso's cuisine is excellent, and for all that, the atmosphere is easy and relaxed with no sign of stress. The restaurant welcomes both families as well as people who have come to enjoy a quiet meal. True fans can book onto one of the cookery courses where they can learn how to cook some of this wonderful food at home too.
