Dined at 8.30 on a Saturday night. It was incredibly noisy and felt quite cramped. I felt I was sitting a little too close to the couple at the next table. My parents and aunt and uncle dined at the restuarant a few months back and also complained about the noise and said they would never go back. I chose a terrible starter - bruschetta with a sweet pea puree. Thought it sounded interesting and that I'd give a go. It was like cold mushy peas on rock hard toast. Vile. Main course was penne al arrabiata. It was okay and a decent sized portion. Paid nearly £6 for a bowl of icecream. It was just icecream!!!

This was our 2nd time dining at Il Forno. The last time was in the evening and the atmosphere was buzzing! This occasion was at lunchtime so the atmosphere was much quieter! But the reason we go there is that the food is excellent and the staff friendly and efficient . Highly recommend this Italian restaurant .

We dined on a saturday evening, It was very busy, we had booked on line for 4 people, but when we arrived the booking was for 2!! I had a tx from book a table stating it was for 4. We had to wait an hr to be seated and when we where we where right in front of the pizza oven, very hot ruined our experience!! food was amazing and service was good!the staff were very friendly and dealt with situation well.

We dined in the early Evening. The main thing to say was that the food was lovely and the staff were friendly and attentive so overall, we would recommend the restaurant however, they seemed to be in a big hurry to get us out of there, our main meals arrived 15 seconds after they took our starter away! Also, the restaurant is very noisy and if, like us, you are sitting in a centre table, it does feel like you are dining in the middle of a supermarket!

We booked a table mid-week but late (after a concert) - the restaurant did not have many people in it, which was fine for us, but unfortunately the pizza oven (& we had gone specifically for their excellent pizzas...& ice creams!) was broken. The alternative main meals were excellent, but not what we would have chosen. Ice creams, as ever...fantastic!

[...].Be aware that the portions are large when deciding whether to have a starter or the size of your pasta dish. [...]

This is a great restaurant who are gluten free friendly and are always happy to help. Very accomadating! Food is always lovely. Cocktails are very nice too. The only thing I don't really agree with is having a pricey service charge on a party of 2 or 3 people. It should be only on a group of ten or more as most people would tip anyway. Apart from that the price of the food is reasonable and there is a nice warm atmosphere in the restaurant.
