The desserts were great. The room itself felt a bit cold and clinical. The staff were friendly (especially a dark haired bearded guy). Booking service quick and efficient, although we did say we were booking with a Travelzoo voucher and the staff seemed not to know this and gave us the wrong menu.

Nice, clean, spacious hotel with various common area options in and out. Nice comfortable and spacious room with added lounge section that had a horizontal blind to protect modesty from any above onlookers! Pleasant restaurant, decent food, nice staff, reasonably and fairly priced. Great for walking into the centre along the river/canal - about 40 mins - perfect to get some earn some food treats! Will definitely repeat in a few years' time when we're ready to redo Oxford.

Hotel style dining room, open plan and bright lights. Service was very good but the menu was disappointing and not good value for money.

Food was hot and arrived quickly. Was quiet when we ate so not a lot of atmosphere but service was attentive. Desserts were very good if a little over priced.

Food really nice for dinner, the service was excellent, especially the head male waiter, unfortunately I do not know his name. They made a fuss of the children too which was a nice touch.

Even though there was a big wedding on we had great service and amazing food, as always. Really helpful and friendly staff made the occasion a great success and impressed our friends.

10 of us had Sunday lunch to celebrate my husbands birthday. As the restaurant was very busy they out us in a separate room in a big round table which was much quieter. All the food was very good.

The room is pleasant enough and relaxed. The food was nicely presented and over all good. The duck livers were very nice. The Potato & garlic soup was uninspiring. The 'market fish' was sea trout. It was a good dish but suspect the fish had been frozen. The Onglet steak was fine.
The wine selection is poor in choice & quality. I ordered a bottle of Soave at £22. It was was a cheap wine & warm. Plonked on top of a few ice cubes in a wine cooler that did not help at all. I had to ask for ice to have any chance of enjoying it. This is not good enough.
We therefore did not have desert or coffee and left.

The restaurant was nicely done out, although it was in an interior room in the hotel, so no windows besides in the roof, which meant there was no view to speak of. The food was ok, but rather over-priced for what it was. My husband had a burger but said the bun had a lot of butter on it, which overpowered the flavour somewhat, and the pot of mayonnaise we were given had obviously been sitting around a while - maybe under a hot lamp or something - because the top of it was a bit congealed. The service was fine. We usually give a tip anyway but I do find it irritating when the service charge is automatically added to the bill. Overall, it was fine. It didn't live up to what I was expecting, having had a look at the website beforehand (including the prices), but it was a pretty standard meal.
