Tucked away in a tranquil courtyard in Mayfair lies the sophisticated Hush restaurant. Offering 2 dining spaces, Hush boasts a classic brasserie, the Aviator cocktail lounge, private dining options, and one of London's finest outdoor dining spaces.
In the chic yet informal ground floor brasserie, guests can enjoy classic brasserie dishes weaved with European accents. Hush menu favourites include carpaccio of beef Harry's Bar style, dressed Dorset crab with avocado, and half lobster with Taglierini, tomato and chilli. The Hush Hamburger is also a firm favourite, voted Best Burger in London by the Evening Standard.
The Hush outdoor courtyard is a perfect spot to enjoy a full a la carte dining experience with table service: a blissful oasis in a quieter part of London. Hush also enjoys a well-stocked wine cellar, as well as cocktails from the specialist cocktail bar.
Benefitting from elegantly understated décor and bathed in natural light, Hush offers delightful cuisine in the heart of Mayfair. Please note, tables in the courtyard are offered on a first-come-first-served basis.

despite being an extremely busy day in London and one of the hottest days of the year the whole experience was relaxing and very enjoyable. food was delicious and well presented, drinks were well prepared and the setting was cool despite the heat.

Service was too slow and food, whilst it looked amazing was disappointing on the taste front. Starter: stake tartar was too sweet - almost as if dollops of Heinz tomato ketchup had been mixed in. My friend had the lobster and crab salad. Menu did not say this contained avocado and apple which she doesn't like and had to try and pick it out. If the menu had mentioned this she could have asked for it without the avo and apple. My tuna main course was an odd combination of flavours which did not complement each other. The chips were also rather tasteless. Due to slow service we had no time for coffee.

This is a regular dining choice for us, being local, and delivers consistently excellent food and service. It has a great atmosphere -- inside, outside, and of course The Aviator Bar with its wonderful cocktails.

Service ist excelent. Location and ambiente is good, but food is not good. I was twice there and the food was everything not tasty.

At opening this was a local elegant gem. It has slowly declined over the years, having finally achieved a level of amateur standing. After waiting 10 minutes we were offered 'drinks'. Not cocktails... drinks. It was a drinking crowd. Our wine was spilled on serving by an untrained waiter. The 'King Prawn Risotto' was in fact yellow (I don't believe it was saffron) risotto with tiny cut up pieces of tiny prawns. More like chopped tiger prawns. Did not stay for desert.

It was nice that we were able to sit outside in the courtyard, as it was a lovely day. I requested this when I booked, and we were allocated an outdoor table.
I had the croquettes for starter and the tuna fish with pistachio crust, both of which were delicious.

I love the courtyard at Hush, it's absolutely the best thing about it and the thing that most makes me want to return. I was, however, really disappointed that they allow people to smoke in the courtyard - as it is covered, I would think it should be classed as an enclosed public place and therefore smoking shouldn't be allowed. It's not pleasant having other diners waving cigarettes in the direction of your food.
The food was good, but there were a few issues, particularly with the service - however, maybe this was a one-off as I have eaten there before with no problems. The asparagus starter was a little too big and under-seasoned and the hamburger was nice but I couldn't taste the 'truffled' brie, which meant paying an extra £4 for it felt like a bit of a cheat. We really enjoyed the white chocolate and earl grey creme brulee for dessert. Our server was very friendly but not as attentive as she should have been - she put our order through incorrectly which meant we were missing a side dish (though that was rectified very quickly), and we had to constantly ask for top-ups of tap water (which often never arrived). We were also not offered a dessert menu and had to ask for it. The wine list is also extremely poor value for money. I would absolutely go back for the lovely courtyard, but hopefully the experience will be better next time as it didn't feel like very good value for money on this occasion.

I have been before and loved the location, ambience etc so already was a fan. That said, one waiter was clearly very new or just disinterested whilst another very engaging, efficient, professional and very helpful.
