It's not the most local pub for us...but because of the lovely food and atmosphere we always prefer to eat here. The staff and owner are always friendly and helpful, the service is always great. Their pies are always lovely and have a lovely choice of what you would like to have served with them. Burgers are always a lovely fav too. And don't forget the superb Sunday roast , but you will need to book for those.

The staff were so friendly and helpful, the one way system and hand hygiene etc was all adhered to. The food was great and the flex of adapting portion sizes to suit the audience was really helpful.

We were given a warm welcome and given clear instructions on Covid precautions - "standing up = masks on; sitting down = masks off" - and excellent table service was provided by friendly, efficient and masked staff. Hunter's Moon has great character, with ample space for diners to be well separated from other tables. There was a good choice of lunch-time menu, to suit all pockets, and our meals were well presented and delicious, though perhaps a wider selection of green vegetables would have been preferable, in addition to the ample potatoes. A slight problem in serving desserts before a 3.00 p.m. closing time, was averted with mutual cooperation, and it might have been better if this issue had been made clear beforehand, perhaps by suggesting an earlier booking time, which would have been possible. Our guest, who is 89, was a slow eater, due to dental problems, which didn't affect her enjoyment, but resulted in a longer dining period. We will remember this point ourselves, next year, and book half an hour earlier!

Very friendly staff made us feel welcome immediately. The menu was large and varied, with a daily board of specials. The well implemented covid precautions made us feel very safe. The hunters chicken was delicious, as was the vegetable lasagne. A thoroughly enjoyable experience, which will be repeated
