Located within boutique hotel The Arch London, Hunter 486 is named after the 1950s dialling code for Marylebone. Fusing nostalgic London glamour with contemporary touches, the restaurant features an open kitchen alongside leather booths and statement artwork, as well as an adjoining champagne bar.
Head Chef Gary Durrant at Hunter 486 has devised a menu celebrating the best of the season’s flavours. This is complemented by an extensive list of wines and champagne available by the glass. The menu features modern classic flavours including honey roast quail with chicory, pear and walnut salad, roast Norfolk Black chicken with potimarron squash, bubble and squeak and smoked bacon, or peppered venison loin with dauphinoise, beetroot puree and baby turnips. Dessert options include chocolate fondant with salted caramel ice cream, Clementine and ginger bread trifle, and Sticky toffee pudding with caramelised banana ice cream.
Every Sunday Hunter 486 London serves a Sunday roast menu. The weekly Set menu also provides an excellent pre theatre or express lunch or dinner option. Hunter 486 is also very well known for their Royal Afternoon Tea and its seasonal variations.
An intimate and romantic setting with charming views over neighbourhood mews, Hunter 486 at The Arch Hotel sits a minute’s walk from Marble Arch Tube Station.

Great service, we had the lunch two courses for £19, bread was warm and delicious, starter of salmon tartare was perfect with a delicate balance of flavours main course was duck which was good and summer berries for dessert, perfect for the hot weather. The service and ambience were top class, a luxurious and quiet spot very near to other manic London hotspots. I would definitely recommend although the drinks were expensive £4.75 for a bottle of water

What a great little find this place is. Our reserved table was placed by the door, as it wasn't busy we asked if we could be a bit further in and they were more than happy to accommodate our request. Staff very friendly / nice ambience / great food. We were on the unlimited prosecco deal and even though the menu had less options everything we had was delicious.

Excellent time had here. Staff made us very welcome, couldn't single out one member of staff as everyone we interacted with was lovely. Right down to the waitress asking us to take care going down to the toilets due to the deep steps. Fabulous meal, attentive staff making sure at every course our meal was to our liking. Lovely gesture to give us extra home made bread and petit fours at the end of our meal. Would have no hesitation in returning and recommending this wonderful hotel/restaurant to everyone.

Merci encore !

My friend and I had afternoon tea and the whole event was delightful: the staff were exceptionally polite and attentive, without being intrusive; the surroundings were lovely; the table setting very pretty and the food was delicious. It was extremely good value for money. We were so happy we stayed on for cocktails. I would not hesitate to recommend the venue and shall certainly be returning.
