Restaurant description
Housed within Soho's St Giles Hotel, Hudson's House, London serves a British-led menu with modern-European influences. This sultry late night spot exudes 1930s glamour, and boasts a sweeping bar manned by theatrical cocktail waiters.
Locally sourced, seasonal ingredients are used whenever possible and daily specials showcase the chefs’ imaginative flair. The modern Hudson’s menu features dishes like grilled sea bass with a light salad, and grilled corn-fed chicken breast with deep-fried mashed potato.
For dessert try Hudson’s Mess, the restaurant’s own take on a classic Eton Mess, or the daily-changing cheese board for something more savoury. The contemporary food menu is matched by an exciting array of cocktails, fine wines, house-brewed lagers and real ales.
Husdon's House in Soho fuses 1930’s glamour with a modern finish with a central bar, private booths, ornate sofas and candlelit tables. Tottenham Court Road Tube Station is just 2 minutes’ walk away.

Called to change arrival time. Rude person on the phone Arrived at the restaurant. Met by a rude person who gave me vague instructions to go to other side of bar. Met by a man’s backside and more interested in a personal phone conversation than a customer. Restaurant smelled of deep fried food. Although menu and pre theatre deal looked good.... left and went elsewhere. Did not feel welcomed

This is a pub come brasserie just off Tottenham Court Road. For a pre-theatre dinner the food is plentiful and cheap, and not bad at all for what it is - bistro staples like steak and chips, burgers, moules etc. Music is loud and conversation louder, so avoid if this is going to bother you, but overall given that edible cheap dinners in the West End are vanishingly rare, I'd say very good

Went on a Friday for the theatre menu, our orders were out in minutes and it felt like we were being rushed out the door from the minute we sat down. I ordered a cheeseburger which was awful. McDonald’s do a better burger which was seriously disappointing. The burger also had a fly INSIDE so not sure what’s going on with quality control. I ate 2 bites of the burger before realising this and I refused to pay for such a poor dinner. I know I am not the only one who did not enjoy this burger as the table next to us left theirs aswell. I will not be visiting again.
