Shame on them. We wanted to dine there on Christmas day but unfortunately we had a very ugly experience. We booked a table, received confirmation but when we went there we've been told that there isn't any reservation but they can offer something else, we can stay and have a Christmas Set lunch for £99 per person. Don't book anything there as they are not serious, they use Bookatable and other websites just to have their name listed and advertise. Shame on them, you can treat people like that especially when you confirm reservations.

An absolutely fantastic experience. I visited the Dome in Edinburgh last month for afternoon and afternoon tea at The Grand was far superior.

Very nice, although price was mire than advertised. They didn't know about our reservation when we got there.

High quality food but hotel style service - too fast and not focused on our experience

Prompt efficient service. Small but well managed menu. Excellent food - chicken liver parfait starter and beef main was delicious as were the salmon and cod my wife had. Competitively priced. Good presentation despite only being lunch. The bread basket was also very good. Wines by the glass were of good quality. All in all a very good lunch.

Great service and friendly staff with a really nice atmosphere and well decorated rooms. Food and drink was all amazing. We had Hendricks afternoon which came with additional Hendricks pot.

The Grand is very grand and beautiful - the bar area is lovely.

Hudson's dining room was more functional. The staff were officious. One of them had clearly taken a smoking break and returned smelling of fags.

The maitre d' called us all darling. We heard staff talking about their lives out of work. A bit unprofessional.

The afternoon tea itself was lovely.

It was a nice experience in a special place. Slightly tainted by the staff.
