Style over Substance:Really disappointing & bad value. Service in restaurant was reasonably good but as we were only ones in for a large proportion it should be!
The tea was made from tea bags whch was unexpected & poor - tasted more like chamomile:(
Tea was only two tiny sandwiches one of which had humous& green beans on it -most bizarre i thought; the tiniest scone (make a circle of a thumb & index finger...)an equally tiny fairy cake & a weird tomato and spinach danish pastry thing....dressed up with candy floss and look oops for a panto theme...all very style over substance.

Ok food and ok service but not very worthy of the title “fine dining”

Rapidly becoming a favourite restaurant - you have to wait till the theatre goers have headed off but then it’s an unusually chilled restaurant for the centre of town, friendly staff, excellent food and competitively priced.

My friend and I had a delightful pre theatre lunch here. We had a great view of the river.
The service was efficient and the food was just right. We had a delicous smoked haddock soup followed by beautifully cooked cod. It was a very good beginning to the show.

Great food and service prior to seeing play at reasonable price at £ 26 for three courses. Very fresh and amazing taste, superb presentation complimented by good selection of wines

Considered 'House' a real gem. The 4 of us had different dishes and all loved the food. Service was also excellent. We went at a quiet time when theatre goers had gone in to see their plays which suited us as we wanted to chat. Apparently it's very busy pre and post theatre.
