Food was delicious and service was friendly. Although the star deal clearly stated that it included procesco we were not given any drinks (we had to order extra drinks and pay for our drinks). After all, we were bit disappointed.

I booked this because a friend had given me a gift voucher for my birthday and I have had pleasant experiences in the past. This was the worst example of an Afternoon Tea I have ever had, unfortunately.
The sandwiches selection was not a good match of bread and fillings and were just odd
The candy floss were gigantic and overwhelmed the table, they largely ended up in a melted sticky heap in the center
The room was unbearably hot and the ceiling fan was not turned on until 10 minutes before we left
Of the 4 cakes, only 1 was what I would consider nice
The service was spotty and absent the entire time with the following mishaps
- One tea was forgotten entirely and had to be requested
- Milk was omitted entirely and had to be requested when we finally flagged down a staff member
- I had to get up and find a staff member to request our bill
- My tea turned out to be water owing to the fact that the tea bag used had a giant hole in it so there was about a gram of tea for the entire tea pot.
On the plus side: The scones were the highlight, and were lovely and warm. The quantities of food were good value. The tea menu had a nice selection

We had an afternoon tea- the selection of sandwiches were lovely and the sweet treats. I would just not recommend the candy-floss because it melted and by the time the tea was finish the candy-floss was melted. I would have rather appreciated a few fruits scattered on the tier of put in a skewer instead of the candy-floss.

Was kept waiting an hour for our table on arrival. Bar man went to check numerous times, but on being sat down our waiter asked if we were enjoying the bar as the table had been ready the whole time!
Lots of people changing tables and the loud ambience.
Food was good, nothing special, waitress instantly suggested a second portion of fries as soon as she saw how little we had initially between the two of us.
Food took a while to arrive but they did knock off the cost of the drinks as an apology.

The service was polite and friendly. The atmosphere was charming. The starters was mediocre to poor. My king prawns were dry. My husbands' scallops were not as he intended them to be.( he thought they might be sautéed?) the meat was tasty albeit we expected a large portion. The fries were enough for one person. We were two? The wine was good. Although we were honoured a special rate for the chateaubriand. The total charge for the meal was quite expensive. I'm not sure we will return as it wasn't good value all round.

Another excellent dining experience. Very courteous service, delicious food and no pressure to vacate our table until we were ready. All of these things will encourage us to return in the near future and to recommend this hotel to our family and friends.
