Inside a stunningly restored former hospital, Hotel du Vin Birmingham Church St boasts an elegant French bistro, serving range of premium dishes. The tranquil hidden courtyard is perfect for al fresco dining.

The Hotel du Vin menu celebrates elegant French bistro-style dining, using fresh premium ingredients. Delicate starters such as French onion soup give way to bold mains, which include confit duck leg with sticky red cabbage, and vegetarian options like butternut squash, sage and and toasted walnut risotto. A hearty grill selection and range of superb desserts also feature.

The Hotel du Vin restaurant wine list is a highlight, featuring a huge variety of carefully selected bottles. Dark leather chairs and stained-wood tables sit alongside the colourful, bustling bar area, ensuring an elegant yet informal ambience.

Ever in vogue, the afternoon tea at Hotel du Vin & Bistro offers indulgence and refreshment. Compiled by the resident tea sommelier, a list of luxury infusions complements tempting towers of pastries, finger sandwiches and deliciously creamy scones.

Hotel du Vin Birmingham Church St offers traditional elegance with contemporary comforts, just a 3-minute walk from Birmingham Snow Hill Rail Station.

This was the first time we had dined here and we loved the whole experience. The bistro is situated in a lovely room with a great ambiance. The smoked salmon starter & the moules mariniere were both excellent and served by friendly & knowledgeable waiters.

Food, atmosphere, service all fantastic. What will stop me going back? I had a drink in the bar before going into bistro, where I was charged £12 for a large glass of white. I felt that I was talked into this by the barman, and,had I known the price I would certainly not have ordered it.

A very pleasant experience. Dined from the set menu as part of a deal. I started with French onion soup. This was presented in a proper croque topped with cheese. My wife had a courgette and tomato salad on a biscuit base.
We both had the boeuf bourginon as main with mash potato, carrots and gree beans. For dessert, we both had a cold apple tart with cream.
Food was of a very high standard. Only niggle was that there was a bit too much pastry with the apple tart.
A nice aspect was that we weren't rushedby atteentive but not overbearing staff (perhaps because it was a quiet Monday evening).

    Amazing

Food & Drink v good, staff & service very good. The only downside was the fact that a non-optional 10% service charge was added to our bill(2 people dining). Didn't appreciate this, their loss though 'cos we invariably wud've left a much higher staff tip than the service charge was. So unfortunately the excellent staff missed out, as is usually the case sadly.

Restaurant staff were excellent, professional, courteous, helpful and friendly . My starter of octopus and lentils was superb however the main was over seasoned and salty, chees boards was good. Overall we would return, not least for the excellent service.
