An interactive dining concept in Islington, Hot Stone is a contemporary Japanese steak and sushi bar that serves dishes over a sizzling hot stone. Filled with a blend of traditional and modern styles, diners can also sit up at the counter and watch the talented chefs at work.

The Hot Stone menu is centred around the hot stones. Salmon, tuna and wagyu beef are served still sizzling, with a choice of sauces like kizami jalapeño salsa and tangy tomato chilli. Serving 100% fresh real Japanese wasabi & A5 Japanese Wagyu, Head chef Padam Raj Rai has over 17 years of experience in Japanese cuisine, at the likes of Nobu, Zuma, and Sake no Hana.

A diverse sake menu is served at Hot Stone in Islington, along with Japanese beers, international wines and spirits. Finish up with indulgent sweet treats like the homemade cheesecake.

A fun restaurant in London that showcases gourmet Japanese flavours, Hot Stone is a 5-minute walk from Angel Tube Station.

The sushi rolls are really delicious, but the overall experience can get pricey really quickly. For example with the hot stone it's already ~30Pounds for the fish and that doesn't come with any rice, or sides which are all at £4 and £5 extras. The bill becomes really expensive and you can get more creative cuisine for the same price elsewhere (stick n sushi, sushi samba, temakinho, etc)

Amazing experience, Sushi's rice texture was absolutly incredible, We really loved the maki king prawn, and we took a set. It's expensive but it worth it, was one of my best sushi experience !

disjointed service, poor decor, terrible layout, poor reception at restaurant, bad service - all in a bad reflection on the kitchen as the food is heads and shoulders above the rest

Fantastic service, great sake, fresh and innovative sushi and delicious beef to cook on the hot stone. Would definitely come back.

Amazing sushi, smoke got in my eyes though. Great service. Quality ingredients. Tea a little expensive at 4.50.

Excellent service and even more impressive food. Some of the best Japanese we have had. Excellent vegetarian options too.

I love this tiny restaurant and its food, unfortunately the ventilation system is not as good as ne essary and I always end up smelling like fried fish for days :(

It was a fine experience, but definitely over priced compared to many other Japanese places in London.

The sushi was good. The hot stone cooking is fun but more of a novelty that quickly wears off. I also burnt myself on it but the staff were very helpful and attentive so can't fault them there.

Generally the service was great but can't make up for the fact that we spent £35pp and left hungry, especially in chapel market which is know for its reasonably priced food.
