Excellent lunchtime meal here. Good selection to choose from, ranging from exceptional value meal deals to tasty freshly made and baked pizzas (though the latter were rather on the expensive side). We had the gammon (£4.99) which came with an odd gravy pie and the plaice (also £4.99), both came with mounds of chips and peas ams would fill a hungry stomach no problem. The pizza with extra jalapeños (circa £17) was freshly assembled and baked in the front of house pizza oven, really tasty but at London prices. Our server, Steven was really friendly and efficient and added to the experience.

Booked for 4, but an extra guest arrived but we were accommodated with no problem. Some confusion with our bill being mixed up with another table. This was dealt with politely and efficiently.

A busy restaurant but laid out in such a way you don't feel crowded. Really good value, especially the 2 for 1 deals. Some decent real ales, obviously with a Marston's leaning and reasonably priced wine list. New pizza oven is a good addition and the pizzas stand up well to more specialist chains.
