Excellent service ambience and food. We all loved it. Shame bar too full to have a drink in but will try next time. It would be great if you could reserve an area before dinner. Marius served us very well. Thank you.

A grand brasserie set in midtown London, Holborn Dining Room at Rosewood London serves seasonal British cuisine with a twist. The bold interior of this Holborn restaurant contrasts beautifully with the tranquil al fresco dining terrace set within the Edwardian Grade II-listed building’s courtyard.

Made from seasonal, locally sourced ingredients, The Holborn Dining Room menu is divided into 8 sections, including bar snacks, a hot counter and grills. Steak tartare and Argyle smoked salmon lead the cold section, while decadent British classics like pan-fried chicken liver are served with a duck egg and black pudding. Other enticing options include a selection of crustacea and charcuterie paired with wine, and juicy burgers from the grill.

The interiors at Holborn Dining Room exude timeless glamour with antique mirrors, red leather banquettes with tweed detailing, and two patina copper-topped bars. Relaxed yet stylish, the copper-topped Gin Bar at the Holborn Dining Room offers London’s largest collection of Gin, specialising in Gin cocktails as well as classic cocktails, spirits, wines and craft beers.

Holborn Dining Room at the Rosewood Hotel in London sits in midtown and is a 3-minute walk from Holborn Tube Station.

    Not great serivice
    We sat on terrace
Given small menu after ordering realised you could order from dining room menu
Waitress nearly dropped my lunch on me
    Asked for ketchup nothing offered
Took about 10 mins to bring

Lovely lunch venue, excellent service. Enjoyed the food and wine. Wine is expensive for what it. Is but going nonetheless.

I ordered a rib eye steak which was cooked rare, however, the steak was baked to 32c which both looked unappealing (almost grey) and was essentially cold in the middle. I sent this back, but was given another grey steak. The means of cooking wasn't explained when ordering (usually grilled/gridled), and as a consequence upset the evening's meal (for our anniversary). We weren't charged for the steak and the service charge was removed.

The service I found overbearing, my starter was taken away whilst I was still finishing my starter and the wine was practically topped up after each mouthful. I felt we were possibly intruding upon the next sitting.

Saying that I found the restaurant a lovely, characterful place.

We came for the pies. The curried mutton with mango did not disappoint. Only slight downside was hovering waiting staff. We enjoyed our very filling main course but did not want more. We began to think they wanted us out although we were there under an hour and the place wasn't busy
