Two Michelin-starred Hélène Darroze at The Connaught has closed its doors for a 2-month refurbishment led by acclaimed French design house, Pierre Yovanovitch Architecture d’Intérieur. Pierre’s aesthetic focuses on bold-re-imaginings of historic spaces, combining the contemporary with luxury materials.

Celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, the restaurant is not only undergoing design alterations to the main dining room, but is also incorporating a new “Chef’s Table” and will boast a dedicated Armagnac Room for pre and post-dinner drinks.

The re-opening, scheduled for September 2019, will showcase a new menu, rooted in Hélène’s culinary style, with a larger focus on British producers and suppliers.

Hélène Darroze at The Connaught London is just 7 minutes’ walk from Bond Street Tube Station.

Great food! Everything was great except for the caviar which was a bit too fishy possibly because of the urchin. The wine pairing was underwhelming. We expected much better wine selection for a 2* Michelin restaurant. One other thing to improve is to make sure staff can spell french names a bit better. They were extremely helpful but with dishes, wine and specially cheese names that are very french, it was very hard for us (who are French) to understand what the waiters were actually saying which is very frustrating. Apart from that - everything else was very good.

This was my second visit, the food and service was first class with good attention to detail. Truly five star.

As one of my guests said, lunching at the Connaught is a lovely way to spend three hours.

The staff was fantastic. Everyone had a different favorite. Mine was the lobster, others picked the lamb, and ice cream.

Wonderful as always. The lunch deal is exceptional value. Exquisite food, well paired wines. This restaurant always gets it right. There's the beautiful glassware that tap water comes out in, the cutlery that feels just weighty enough and most importantly the ability to turn out perfect dishes every time. The staff are attentive but not intrusive. This is a cut above other 2 star restaurants.

innovative and fun presentation of the menu - created a nice table atmosphere and chat about the options.
The food was superb and beautifully presented, and the service excellent. We spent over 5 hours over lunch there..... so it must gave been good!
The wine list was vast, but sommelier help was good, neverrheless although we had good wines not at top prices, this was very expensive.

Was a fantastic dining experience, excellent food and service from start to finish in a charming wood-panelled room. We had the 5 course a la carte menu which was a delight, with a good range of options and some stand out dishes; their rhubarb desert and pigeon for two come to mind. Flavours were rich and varied, and dishes were elegantly presented. The wine list was spectacular with some excellent wines by the glass which is always a pleasant touch. The only, and very minor, disappointment was the cake they gave us to take away, it was an extra and a pleasant surprise but overdone and ultimately disappointing after such a wonderful meal. This was a very minor complaint however and I would return and would recommend with enthusiasm.
