Stunning food with flavours that delight your taste buds and you’ll remember for days. Fresh focaccia and sour dough bread when you are seated. An excellent wine list. I highly recommend the Chablis. Superb staff that can have a real conversation and look after you. Overall, an amazing dining experience! And, it won’t break the bank.

The food was excellent and very good value for money considering the quality with amazing flavours throughout. All staff were friendly and knowledgeable. My only criticism would be that due to the fact our reservation was late in the lunchtime schedule, several dishes were no longer available as they had been sold out and we had to push to get some extra 'Jus' for the beef as so little had been put on the plate. A restaurant wanting a reputation for quality should not be subjecting guests to such penny pinching issues that I would typically associate with a cheap & basic pub offering food. The wine list was good although limited. The waitress said she had been told they only sold wines from United Nations countries!!!! Definitely a misunderstanding however the wine she recommended was excellent and met our descriptive requirements perfectly. I will definitely be back again as will my friends that were with me :-)

We had a lovely Sunday lunch. Service friendly and efficient. Food delicious. Mushroom risotto and oxtail papardelle and john dory starter all super. Pork belly melt in the mouth and duck fat potatoes good enough to have on their own as a course. Informal and relaxed. Great.

DisappointedSunday afternoon experience, table booked for 1.15 we were placed in an additional part of the building which lacked character ,and had no atmosphere The steak chosen was under cooked and I was not asked what my preference was in the way steak is cooked, the waiter returned the steak to the chef chef twice before I was able to eat the meal. very disappointing and expensive for the meal I had, dessert was satisfactory, and staff were attentive,

Old pub but renovated nicely. Restaurant full on a Friday lunch time, so glad we had booked. We had fish starters which were lovely, and the bread was used to mop up the sauce. My wife enjoyed her hair and I went for the grouse, legs and feathers - it was delicious. Finished our meal with a very nice caramel tart and I went for the Apple souffle, which was excellent. All this served in good time dispute being advised there may be a delay due to problems with the stove. Goodnight we were advised, but well done to the team in the kitchen. Overall a lovely meal and I would recommend this restaurant - already have.
