Restaurant description

Showered with seemingly infinite praise from industry critics, Hawksmoor Spitalfields has built a reputation for offering London’s finest steak. Exposed brickwork, reclaimed floors and shabby-chic fixtures are offset by a speakeasy-style bar. The newest addition to the Hawksmoor flock, a spectacular Art Deco cocktail bar sits below the restaurant.

Sourcing the best beef from small British farms, the Hawksmoor menu spans from hearty Sunday roast offerings, award-winning burgers and other serious bar food, through to its renowned steaks. Bursting with natural flavours, Hawksmoor favourites include plum pudding, belly ribs, smooth potted smoked mackerel, or magnificent sharing cuts of porterhouse, chateaubriand or bone-in prime Rib, where guests can select their desired weight from the blackboard.

Showcasing a cocktail list ‘to die for’ according to The Guardian, nostalgic blends include Harry Craddock’s marmalade cocktail, or try a signature Hawksmoor concoction.

Quintessentially British, Hawksmoor Spitalfields organises Steak Club meetings for its most devoted carnivores. Shoreditch High Street Station is 4 minutes’ walk away.

Please note Spitalfields Bar is not wheelchair accessible.Sunday roasts are not available after 5pm.

Everything was perfect. We were amazed at how delicious the simple Caesar salad was. My partner was raving about the steak afterwards. Service was great. Definitely reccomend!

We had the express lunch menu, which is great value, great quality and big portions! The cocktail was fairly average and service was a little slow but an all round enjoyable lunch.

I visited with family and chose from the Feast on London Menu. It was a great value offer. We weren’t too keen on the starter of Yorkshire Puddings with potted beef ( too big and too dry) however the rump steak was excellent! The sticky toffee sundae was also delicious! The service was excellent

Absolutely fabulous! We had a wonderful experience ,the food was amazing and the red wine with it was delicious.?? We were greeted with a smile and recommended the cocktail bar whilst we waited for our table to be ready as we were early.Mike gave us excellent customer service for our meal and the food recommendations were on point from the main wirh tasty dressings and then the desert to top it off. He also gave us 3 different wines to taste. That really helped us to choose well. He knew that we loved the meal because each time he came to check if the food was okay he didn't hear anything from us because we were to busy enjoying the meal. I was making many noises so it was all thumbs up each time he passed. All in all a brilliant experience with many thanks to Mike. We will definitely be back. I doubt anywhere else will ever top that. Thank you so much from Lorraine and Trevor ??xx

I emailed the restaurant to change the number in our party and whilst they did not confirm that they had received my email or acted upon it, they had changed the number of people. The food was good although unfortunately my steak was too rare for me to finish. The air conditioning in the restaurant was quite fierce and I was cold. When I tried to collect my coat there was no one available and I had to wait for a few minutes until someone came to deal with this. We have eaten at Hawksmoor before (Air Street) and had a much better experience. Although it was a nice restaurant, a few things led to us having an OK experience rather than a nice one. Disappointing.
