Restaurant description

On the site of the old Watney-Combe brewery, Hawksmoor Seven Dials offers exquisite steaks and sensational cocktails. Critically acclaimed Hawksmoor is widely renowned as offering London's best steak and Sunday roasts.

For the true steak fanatics, Hawksmoor in vibrant Covent Garden offers an exclusive ‘Beef Steak Club.' Diners can tailor-make their Hawksmoor experience to personal tastes by choosing an individual cut of meat. Alongside the succulent meat dishes, native lobster with garlic butter, or sea bream with chilli, rosemary and garlic offer tantalising alternatives.

An eclectic wine list at Hawksmoor London offers choices from obscure, selective growers as well as big name vineyards. A decadent range of classic desserts round things off, such as the rich Hawksmoor sticky toffee pudding or peanut butter shortbread.

An instant classic since it opened, Hawksmoor Seven Dials is just 3 minutes' walk from Covent Garden Tube Station. The dress code is smart casual, and please note Sunday roasts are not available after 5pm.

Really beautiful restaurant & very relaxed, chilled atmosphere. Subdued lighting...good for a first date! We had the express menu as we were going to the theatre. We didn’t have time to eat the desserts we ordered, nobody’s fault, but Stephanie took them off our bill & told us to come back after the theatre for complimentary desserts. Unfortunately, I was so tired I went home, but it was such a lovely gesture. Would definitely visit again. The food was delicious. The potted beef & bacon with the Yorkshire’s was really good!

I always enjoy the environment and the experience in the restaurant a fabulous venue to visit. Having had two Sunday lunches this month the Beef was presented in two ways, one was sliced into 2 thick pieces about 5-10mm thick whilst on the second visit the Beef was presented as one piece which was more like a steak which didn't seem to balance with rest of the dish.... Its only my view but I thought I would pass this thought on as you were asking.

This is my 3rd or 4th visit to Hawksmoor and as always the steak was great. Chips were a bit too salty to me.

The three of us enjoyed our meal. By the time the room had filled up it was rather noisy.

We visited the restaurant on our wedding anniversary and had a really great time from the friendly welcome as we arrived , through the delicious food and amazing service from our waitress, Maria. Our table was booked for 5pm and we knew from the website that availability of the Sunday roasts cannot be guaranteed after 5pm but my wife was fortunate that they had a few left when we ordered. I opted for the ribeye. Both meals were huge but delicious and we struggled through. Even though we were full, the desserts were too tempting. My wife opted for the peanut butter shortbread and I went for the crumble. The crumble was very nice but the shortbread was definitely the star of the show. The food was obviously great but the whole experience was made all the more memorable thanks to Maria's excellent and friendly service. She took time to explain the menu and was attentive throughout, without being overbearing at all.
