Restaurant description

On the site of the old Watney-Combe brewery, Hawksmoor Seven Dials offers exquisite steaks and sensational cocktails. Critically acclaimed Hawksmoor is widely renowned as offering London's best steak and Sunday roasts.

For the true steak fanatics, Hawksmoor in vibrant Covent Garden offers an exclusive ‘Beef Steak Club.' Diners can tailor-make their Hawksmoor experience to personal tastes by choosing an individual cut of meat. Alongside the succulent meat dishes, native lobster with garlic butter, or sea bream with chilli, rosemary and garlic offer tantalising alternatives.

An eclectic wine list at Hawksmoor London offers choices from obscure, selective growers as well as big name vineyards. A decadent range of classic desserts round things off, such as the rich Hawksmoor sticky toffee pudding or peanut butter shortbread.

An instant classic since it opened, Hawksmoor Seven Dials is just 3 minutes' walk from Covent Garden Tube Station. The dress code is smart casual, and please note Sunday roasts are not available after 5pm.

Enjoyed our time in the restaurant, however we were disappointed that at the end of our meal we were told with virtually no notice that we needed to leave the table as there was another booking and we got moved into the bar which was full and had no seats, with our drinks so just awkwardly stood until we had finished these and then left. It was a shame to finish our meal like this.

Very impressive in every way. The staff were very friendly, attentive and professional. The food was a very high standard. Our waitress spotted that I didn't particularly like my desert, nothing wrong with it just my personal taste, and she just removed it from the bill. There was a mix up between house wine we ordered and the more expensive one we were served, which only came to light when the bill arrived. The bill was corrected without any hesitation and with full apologies. Definitely go back there.

Fabulous starter, smoked mackerel, rump steak was the best I’ve had, chips were ok, but not the best

We visited 29/01/20 after a quick and easy booking system online. We had the set menu which was very reasonably priced for what you get. The Yorkshire's are massive! The Potted beef & bacon and gravy were to die for. Definitely something I wouldn't have tried if I saw on the menu as I wouldn't have thought it was to my taste but wow! Speaking of wow (although there isn't a word strong enough to describe it) the steak. THE Steak! My partner and I were looking at each other across the table, smiling, mmm-ing and nodding our heads in agreement. No words needed to be spoken. We also tried the sticky toffee sundae which I found very satisfying and just the right amount of cubes of sponge and ice cream. The passion fruit pavlova was sharp and refreshing which was a great ending to the meal. All of the food was packed with flavour, cooked to perfection and seasoned well. I will definitely be recommending to people and will also have another cheeky visit or two when I can get to London. Every member of staff I had an interaction with from setting one foot in the door, being taken to our table, bringing out our food and leaving the restaurant was 10/10 which is very very rare to find these days. Great restaurant book it now!!!

It was an amazing experience in general: great staff/service, and the food (particularly the steak) was cooked to perfection. The restaurant is classy, whether you are seated at the bar or in the dining area.
