We were made to feel so welcome by the team at Hawksmoor. Food was excellent. It was a very good visit.

The third addition to the revered Hawksmoor fold, Hawksmoor Guildhall enjoys a reputation for the best steaks in London. Alongside a buzzing speakeasy-style bar, the walk-in wine room stages refined tasting sessions.

Sourcing the best beef from small British farms, the Hawksmoor menu spans from hearty breakfast offerings, through to its renowned steaks and delicious accompaniments. Bursting with natural flavours, Hawksmoor favourites include delicate crab on toast, or a magnificent sharing cut of porterhouse, where guests can select their desired weight from the blackboard.

Hawksmoor London serves up signature creations for breakfast, with wholesome offerings including a spectacular sharing platter, or a delicious pancake stack. From the old school bar, nostalgic flavours are served in blends like Harry Craddock’s marmalade cocktail, or a creatively concocted house fizz. Offering its own bar and superb bespoke service, a chic private dining room is filled with glossy wood panelling and plush furnishings. A personal bartender prepares signature drinks mixes, and specially designed sharing menus offer a range of dishes and cuts of beef.

Highly praised by top industry critics, Giles Coren of The Times describes Hawksmoor restaurant as ‘flawless’. Nestled in the heart of the city, Moorgate Station is 7 minutes’ walk away.

Excellent fixed-price menu but drinks quite steep. The staff were friendly and professional, and the food was good. I would have rated Hawksmoor Guildhall much higher than 3 stars if it wasn't for the noise. The surfaces in the restaurant are hard which means the noise bounces off them and it is near impossible to hear people in your group unless you shout at each other - all in all an exhausting experience: I was glad to leave. I have given my feed-back to the restaurant and I hope they fit noise baffles. Not a place for conversation.

Fabulous meal, great atmosphere, superb service - one of my favourite places for a good steak in the city

I went to the Hawksmoor for the Restaurant Festival autumn deal they had, for an early dinner with 2 friends. 2 courses for £25 or £30 for 3. We had some great food. The steaks were good. I didn't have dessert as I was full. My starter was a potted beef paté with 2 huge yourshire puds. I tried my friends desserts which were sticky toffee sundae and peanut butter shortbread which were delicious. The service was spot on and friendly despite the restaurant being rammed.

Staff were engaging and helpful. Food was excellent and service was attentive and subtle. Atmosphere was lively on a Friday lunch time.

We had the 2/3 course set meal and it was incredible! The fillet steak was perfection, and though were were possibly too full, we made room for the delicious sticky toffee sundae and had no regrets. We went for a birthday celebration and the waitress made it very special by giving us some glasses of champagne on the house; she was attentive, relaxed and friendly. My partner had been wanting to visit Hawksmoor for years and it did not disappoint!

The restaurant itself is big and really nice. Service is excellent: everyone is very nice and helpful. I was a bit disappointed by the food. My boyfriend and I chose the Express menu (one starter and one main for £25). The starter wasn't tasty and the steak, which was supposed to be medium, was overcooked. Chips are very good. Overall quality is good.
