Restaurant description

Situated close to River Thames, Kingston’s Hawker’s Bar and Brasserie offers popular bottomless brunches, indulgent afternoon teas and a global range of high-quality dishes. The stylish bar serves artisanal beers and gin from the area, complementing the locally inspired menu.

Hawker’s dinner menu represents a worldly assortment of pizzas with a popular build-your-own option, high-quality juicy burgers, garnished grills, as well as vegetarian and vegan options. For your morning fix try the full English offering, or the breakfast buffet with complements such as eggs benedict and omelette royal. For that sweet tooth, Hawker’s Brasserie presents abundant desserts, such as the banana mess with caramel sauce or the New York cheesecake.

Rooted in the Royal Borough’s aviation history, this spacious, contemporary establishment brings modern interiors with golden, wooden and blue notes. Champagne afternoon teas and aviation-themed cocktails further tempt guests of this all-day eatery.

Hawker’s Bar and Brasserie in Kingston Upon Thames is located a mere 5-minute walk from Kingston Train Station.

The overall setting of the restaurant was nicely done, however the lack of customers made the ambiance falter a little even with the nice lights and such. We didn’t let that put us off however, liking that we would get better service as it wasn’t busy. This wasn’t really the case - the service wasn’t bad exactly however I do think servers need to be trained more closely. The waitress missed little things that just need to be done such as moving our plates away before we even order pudding (she left them on the table even when she brought the chocolate brownie out) also, wine measurements - we made the most of the bring your one wine deal which was great but the waitress poured the glass nearly full, having no consideration for wine measurements! We weren’t checked that our meal was okay until I had actually finished and eaten all of mine; this shows a lack of attentiveness that you’d expect from the most standard restaurant. Staff did seem polite, just unaware which is a shame

Staff were very accommodating and attentive. The environment and decor was tasteful, modern and clean - perfect for a casual meeting. The Afternoon Tea left a little to be desired though unfortunately - there were too few savoury pieces and too many sweets. It looked (and tasted) a bit cheap although £19.99 each, so bit disappointed there, but it wouldn't put me off going again to try something else.

The restaurant layout is nice but that is the only positive. My husband tried to order 3 beers they had on the menu. the waiter only said he had never heard of them and that they were not in stock even though the menu only had about 8 beers to offer. When our food came I had a large lump of clingfilm in part of the dish. This was sent back to the kitchen to be replaced only for the second meal to come back with the same problem another large lump of clingfilm

All the family went for Christmas lunch so the menu was pre ordered.i had the mushroom soap which was lovely ,some had the smocked salmon what looked appetising, and the ones that had it said it was lovely. We had the roast turkey which was succulent and cooked well with enough vegetables and looked appetising. The Christmas pudding for dessert was popular as they said it was very fruity. I had the trifle which was very light and tasty. Then afterwards we had coffee and mince pies which I just squeezed in as we were full up. As a regular there the staff knew us and the service was brilliant and the seating was comfortable.Overal a great experience.Everyone enjoyed it,

Booking service fine worked as it should. Location very nice and clean. Staff very friendly and polite. Because we sat outside getting cutlery and coffee was a bit slow, had to ask twice. Food choice is very good. Food really average, hashbrown dry, grapes did not look were cleaned, pain au chocolat dry and crunchy, no omlettes unless pay extra, pineapple turned greyish in fruits bowl. It was consistent nonetheless and we did not feel hungry all day! Was alright.

Very warm welcome when we were shown to our table. We had the bottomless brunch with G&Ts and Prosecco which were free flowing throughout our 90 minutes at the restaurant. We had the brunch and the steak sandwich which were a good size portion and very tasty. Staff were very friendly and accommodating during the meal. We had some espresso martinis to finish which were delicious.
