Restaurant description

One of only 9 Indian Restaurants in the UK to be awarded a Bib Gourmand in the Michelin Guide 2018, Haveli has been named in the Top Twenty Indian Restaurants in the UK and was also awarded Best Asian Restaurant in the North East 2014 and 2015.

Haveli serves crafted Indian cuisine in an elegant setting. Drawing influences from the major food regions of India, the Haveli menu combines classical and traditional Indian recipes with a modern interpretation to create a true culinary experience. Dishes are packed with locally sourced ingredients flavoured with freshly ground Indian spices.

Signature dishes include the Railway Lamb Curry, comprising Northumbrian lamb cooked in a tomato-based sauce with new potato, grilled monkfish cooked in a Bengali-style spiced stew, and tandoori salmon marinated in honey, mustard and dill served with green pea relish.

Find Haveli Newcastle in Ponteland, a short drive from Newcastle International Airport.

Consistently excellent. Our guests thoroughly enjoyed the food and the drink. Unusual cocktails. Charming service - perfect level of attentiveness. Unfortunately it’s rather noisy so conversation is tricky.

We opted for one of the set menus which was very good quality and priced well everyone enjoyed their individual main course dishes. You have some lovely young staff who would benefit from some basic food service training which would improve the overall customer experience

Excellent menu, excellent quality, great environment. Must be one of the best Indian restaurants in UK if not even further afield!

Very nice. Definitely worth a visit. Dishes beautifully presented, although a little spicy for my taste. Disappointed we were not offered dessert. Did have coffee but it was too strong even with 3 sugars put in. On the whole lovely.
