Restaurant description

Harvey Nichols Restaurant brings European fine dining to Birmingham’s luxury department store. In line with its high-fashion ethos, the minimalist dining room features cement-wash walls, Scandi-style furnishings and parquet flooring.

Enjoy a seasonal all-day menu that showcases tantalizing flavours, sourced locally where possible. Relax in leather banquette booths, choose to dine at the Chef’s table or opt for a more secluded dining experience in the Private Dining Room.

Discovered via a sweeping staircase, the bar at Harvey Nichols in Birmingham showcases apothecary-style bottle displays concealed behind porthole windows. Pull up a high-backed velvet stool or head to the leather booths, and sip on cocktails like the fruity daiquiri blossom, or a cooling coupe sorbet.

An ultra-chic dining destination within the Mailbox district, Harvey Nichols Restaurant is a 7-minute walk from Birmingham New Street Train Station.

Overall ok. Quite small portion, service was average and nothing to make the experience stand out.

Restaurant was very quiet so had very little atmosphere, menu could do with having few more options-especially to cater for vegetarians.Food was nice but it's got alot of competition where it is at moment it doesn't stand out.

Enjoyed the quality of the food and convenience of having a good restaurant as part of the Harvey Nichols store that we wanted to visit whilst in Birmingham for the weekend

The stiarway approach to the restaurant is beautiful, decor lovely, bar area very elegant. Service was good. Starters (beef and squid was delicious and well presented. But the 2 main courses were disappointing - I had chicken, was nothing more than ok, didnt like the cous cous. My husband had the pork belly draft with noddles, was a little bland and he felt it would have been better if it had been more crispy, Champagne was lovely and well chilled.

Offered wrong menu to begin with and then when staff realised we were on Bookatable offer changed this to inferior menu with 3 starters and 3 main courses on it. Portions were then minute and felt we were being treated as second class customers. Optional 12.5% service charge was deducted from total account for this reason.
