Harvey Nichols Restaurant brings European fine dining to Birmingham’s luxury department store. In line with its high-fashion ethos, the minimalist dining room features cement-wash walls, Scandi-style furnishings and parquet flooring.

Enjoy a seasonal all-day menu that showcases tantalizing flavours, sourced locally where possible. Relax in leather banquette booths, choose to dine at the Chef’s table or opt for a more secluded dining experience in the Private Dining Room.

Discovered via a sweeping staircase, the bar at Harvey Nichols in Birmingham showcases apothecary-style bottle displays concealed behind porthole windows. Pull up a high-backed velvet stool or head to the leather booths, and sip on cocktails like the fruity daiquiri blossom, or a cooling coupe sorbet.

An ultra-chic dining destination within the Mailbox district, Harvey Nichols Restaurant is a 7-minute walk from Birmingham New Street Train Station.

I particularly liked the dessert, stone fruit with mascarpone. The main course (sea bass) was a little bit on the light side but a well balance three course meal all in all. Pleasantly quiet with a relaxed atmosphere. Service was a little bit slow.

Very nice experience. Food was very tasty especially the coffee and hazelnut dacquoise. The staff were very pleasant, restaurant small and nicely decorated. Nice having unlimited tea/coffee and a good choice offered. Overall a nice afternoon tea experience.

Nice environment. Not very busy on Thursday lunch, but service was a bit slow. Booked a deal, £22 for three courses, but mains did not include veg or potatoes which came at £4 a piece. Small portions.

Restaraunt atmosphere was lovely, I enjoyed the goats cheese wrap- and that was about the highlight; however overall it was a very disappointing afternoon tea, the sandwich selection was limited but also the amount of sandwiches was incredibly poor for the price the afternoon tea cost. The sandwiches were literally one bite and unlike other afternoon teas I have been to; you were not given any extra sandwiches. For 44 pounds for two people I expected a lot more. The quality of scones was also fairly poor, I would say they more like rocks than scones and the deserts were adequate at best. I would not recommend this afternoon tea to anyone unless they were on a diet. I was very excited about the afternoon and felt I let my friend down who was from out of town. I would much rather have gone to Hotel La Tour, or any of the other Afternoon teas I have been to! The decision to go to Harvey Nichols did not pay off!
