    Faultless service and a wonderful dining experience. The view of St Andrews Square from our table was great, a real treat. None of the starters would have been by top choice but the pork belly was tasty enough. I chose the guinea fowl for my main which was delicious though felt the dessert of rhubarb & custard tart could have been a little bit better. Overall though, the service was fantastic and it was a very enjoyable dining experience.

    We had a fabulous time. We will definitely be coming back. The staff were so attentive and accommodating,made us feel really special. We were actually called guests which was lovely. The menu was very good. A great selection. We both thoroughly enjoyed the Pork Belly, moreso than the guinea fowl. We thought possibly to have the Pork Belly as the main and the guinea fowl as the starter, but still delicious. We were full!! We knew we had to vacate our table by 8, but were allowed to move to the bar and enjoy the remainder of our drinks. Really good value for money, so relaxed. We are so looking forward to returning and we will definitely recommend to our friends and family. Thank you so much to the staff for making our first meal at Forth Floor such a wonderful experience.

    We visited Edinburgh for the day and booked the champagne afternoon tea for a special birthday and weren't disappointed. Afternoon tea was lovely and the staff were very attentive. Would definitely recommend

    Afternoon tea with my 84 year old mother for her birthday - she picked the venue! From the moment we arrived to find the elevator the staff were super. The dining room was just as I hoped with crisp white tablecloths and the view was quite unique. Had it been a warmer day we would have been outside for sure. The menu was just that bit different to other afternoon tea venues as it didn't have sandwiches but they were not missed because the bridie and quiche were just delicious. My favourite part is always the scone and whilst it was really good I don't like currants/raisins and had to pick them out. Would have been better if we were given an option to have a plain scone. The range of teas and coffees was extensive and we had some fun trying teas we haven't had before. We were not rushed in any way and the staff were always on hand if we needed them.

    As usual excellent, the only place I can bring my 82 year old mother to receive the service and the surroundings she was use to when younger. Good personal service, white tablecloths, food presented well - that was the norm in the sixties and I think we all forget that. I eat at Harvey Niks in Knightsbridge (breakfast being the preferred Sunday venue) when at my son in laws. In Birmingham when at my daughters house, though restaurant does not have the view. I maybe cannot afford your clothes ect outwith sale time but all that enjoy a touch of being spoiled can enjoy your restaurants. I meet my friends and family often in Edinburgh Harvey Nikes though we live sixty miles away in fife. I like the portions, muse bouches the way all is presented and the choice is always suitable for all. May I suggest a little white truffle ice cream as a muse bouche or a pistachio marzipan filled olive rather than always a veloute but I love your veloutes. Excuse spelling. I have little money but have eaten in some of the finest restaurants in Europe my daughter being married in the Chabichou Hotel, Courchevel. All still talking about it a year later and earlier this year the most wonderful meals in Cicilianos restaurant in Ragusa Ibla Sicily. Thank you to all, regards Suzanne LeQuesne Blackadder. ( My male friend not as keen as me as when we were in earlier this year and he received his one scallop I never heard the end of it, I tried to pacify saying it was wonderful but have never managed to get him back) but men come and go, your restaurant I hope will be there till I am 82.
