We have dined there before and the service was fine. My favourite dish is Simply Chicken and my husband who is a vegetarian enjoys the Spinach & Ricotta Pasta which were both good.

Love the atmosphere of this Harvester, chicken n ribs always delicious, love the salad bar too and the little bread rolls. Our server was DEAN, what a great guy, would come back just to have a laugh with him again, he is an asset to your company!

Waited for 45 mins for one starter of breaded mushrooms, waited over an hour for mains (which we chased). When food was served it was cold and very small portions. One meal was a burger with pulled pork and chips. He ONLY thing that was warm was just the pulled pork. Other meal couscous was cold with a semi warm lamb shank stuck on top. Chips had been reheated Peas were cold and had been contaminated with some meaty sauce (which as a vegetarian is outrageous). Service was good until we complained about the food

Potato skins were weird but the main was good. Decent pint too.

The salad bar is a great idea; it just needs beefing up a bit in terms of variety. Nice environment and no loud music which is always a winner when meeting friends and wanting to catch up. The food seemed quite nice at the time but a week later I can't remember what I ate so it couldn't have blown me away. I have eaten here before a long time ago and I do like the grill. Very convenient to the A50. Now for the bad bit. I've often had poor service in Stoke, sorry to say, but my friend who came from further afield didn't leave a tip which is unusual for her. First of all, the waiter got the order wrong (oh yes, now I remember, chicken wraps which were tasty) but could not have been more helpful in offering to send them back which we appreciated. However, we had empty salad plates on our table which were not cleared away, nobody came to ask us if we would like more drinks, nobody asked us if we would like a pudding and nobody thought to ask us if we would like a coffee (which we did want but by then decided to go elsewhere). Oh dear. They hadn't got the first idea about customer service. They didn't even bother to bring the bill but fortunately for them we were inclined to go to the till and left our finished plates behind us. In other words, there was NO service. Oh, and the place wasn't even busy. There were lots of empty tables. Harvester, if you are reading this, you are nice friendly people who need a kick up the hospitality rear end.

We dined with friends for Saturday lunch . 3 chose scampi which was just ok , they would have preferred to pay a little more for a better portion size . I had jacket potato and chicken breast , again it was just ok. The chicken was a little dry and luke warm , The salad bar offered a good selection . My husband and I shared a honeycombe explosion and it was yummy . Our friends each had the apple pie with custard and really enjoyed it especially when they asked for lots of custard and the waitress delivered it in a good sized jug . Our waitress was very attentive, cheerful and friendly . We returned after a shopping trip to have coffee in the bar , the service not the best when we were served cappuccino coffees in a big cup with no saucer . When we asked for a sauce we were eventually given a side plate !

Nice welcome. Lots of items listed on menu, but apart from the desserts, there seemed to be a lot that was the same with a bit of a variation, which means the real choice ends up limited. Unlimited fountain drinks and coffee were excellent. Salad bar OK. Buttered green beans not very impressive - no butter taste at all and watery. Tartare sauce with fish (which was very good) also very thin - was it heated or left under heat lamp? Cauliflower Cheese and Tomato Tart was rated highly. Nachos starter for One looked a generous portion. Chicken strips starter arrived more like big breaded chunks. Generally a mixed experience.
