Great staff and service lovely food

A favourite with families thanks to its extensive menu of freshly made, honest food, Harvester Tarpot is a comfy pub restaurant with plenty of space for larger groups. A great selection of international beers and wines are served at the bar, while children are offered their own special menus and activities.
From its succulent grill selection to the celebrated unlimited salad bar, the Harvester menu is packed full of wholesome flavours for the whole family. Rotisserie chicken cooked in a secret blend of spices is available alongside tender smoked ribs marinated in signature BBQ sauce, while smaller tapas-style dishes are perfect for sharing, with options like spicy crackerjack prawns, and grilled chorizo with padron peppers. There are generous combo platters, juicy steaks, well-stacked burgers, and a great salad selection with premium additions.
All kinds of sweet treats are served on the dessert menu at this Harvester in Essex. The sundae selection loads real dairy ice cream with toppings like warm chocolate fudge brownie, raspberries and honeycomb pieces, while classic British options like Bramley apple pie sit alongside international twists like key lime pie. From the bar, there are world beers, spirits, and speciality soft drinks for the kids.
An ideal pub for casual family meals thanks to its spacious interior and relaxed ambience, Harvester Tarpot is 5 minutes' drive from Pitsea Rail Station.

Had to send my food back and had to complain about the salad bar.

I was a bit disappointed, as there was no table free when we arrived. There was also no gluten free menu available as requested, therefore I had to wait for 10 minutes and then felt under pressure to make a choice. The salad bar was required topping up and my Mum had to wait for over 10 minutes to get a bread roll. It was difficult to read the allergen list due to poor quality photocopying and the selection of food available was limited. Fortunately our waitress Tracey was really helpful and managed to make up a meal with chicken breast and ribs (as I could previously have an original combo from your menu). I would much prefer to have a menu provided, rather than lists of A4 pages which are both uninspiring and very confusing.

Spacious and well laid out. All food is great, but favourite is the combo. Great value for money.

My son who came from London for anniversary meal was disappointed with his meal. The chicken he had with his rice meal was not cooked through, traces of blood. Ate one piece and was not happy with taste. Complained and was informed meal was pre-cooked and shouldn't have been like that. Was offered replacement which was declined and could eat no more. Was not charged for his meal.
It upset our evening.
