With its thatched roof and homely rural charm, Harvester Running Horse is a lovely pub restaurant to spend time in. A host of British and international recipes for the whole family can be found on the packed menu, with cask ales served at the bar, and special children's activities offered for the little ones.
From its succulent grill selection to the celebrated unlimited salad bar, the Harvester menu is packed full of wholesome flavours for the whole family. Rotisserie chicken cooked in a secret blend of spices is available alongside tender smoked ribs marinated in signature BBQ sauce, while smaller tapas-style dishes are perfect for sharing, with options like spicy crackerjack prawns, and grilled chorizo with padron peppers. There are generous combo platters, juicy steaks, well-stacked burgers, and a great salad selection with premium additions.
All kinds of sweet treats are served on the dessert menu at this Harvester in Maidstone. The sundae selection loads real dairy ice cream with toppings like warm chocolate fudge brownie, raspberries and honeycomb pieces, while classic British options like Bramley apple pie sit alongside international twists like key lime pie. From the bar, there are world beers, spirits, and speciality soft drinks for the kids.
A great blend of pub tradition and modern dining comfort, Harvester Running Horse is just a 4-minute drive from Maidstone East Rail Station.

inadequate parking. service was slow. member of staff sweeping carpet with a broom whilst we were eating.. the menu was limited and unimaginative we struggled to find something we wanted to eat . our server was really nice definitely a plus.

We took two extra people with us which seemed to unsettle the staff a little but they eventually added another table and two chairs to our group. Shame they forgot you need cutlery to eat anything!

Food not presented well. Salad bar messy and not all dressings there as empty. Soft toy machine in bar a complete scam. Children were crying and after watching for over 30 mins no child won. Costs too much and primed not to win as there is no grab. Not necessary and causes children to keep asking for money. I am going to complain to your Head Office.
Desserts stale got sent back.

could have been great. I'm not difficult to please. communicate the menu and service and then bring the correct order, thats all thats needed. none of this happened and actually the food was excellent, drinks were fine when we finally got the glasses and the salad bar was good when we discovered it - nothing was communicated and our orders were completely messed up. we still had a good time and i would go again but i realise that training of staff is needed desperately.

My husband and I enjoyed our experience at this harvester. It has greatly improved since we visited time before last. Then we had poor service and poor food. As I'm on a diet I still enjoy to eat out so was glad to see skinny steak. Not everyone can eat fatty things, so a nice choice of boiled potatoes or jackets would be good. In the past my boss tried to book a table for 14 people for my 60th on a Monday was told can't be done. Why!

After specifying our seating arrangements as in 8 adults, 4 children of which 2 required high chairs.. we arrived to fine only 8 adults places had been set, it was very busy and luckily the people seated close to our table agreed to move elsewhere. Everything else was fine. Service was good and staff were friendly. We were sat in a nice area so as not to cause too much obstruction to other diners.
