Great food and service

Perched right on the seafront, and with wonderful views out over the water, Harvester Neptune is a perfect seaside pub for the whole family. There is al fresco seating to enjoy the sea air and watch the sunset, while inside there is a great selection of wholesome British recipes, including options just for kids.
From its succulent grill selection to the celebrated unlimited salad bar, the Harvester menu is packed full of wholesome flavours for the whole family. Rotisserie chicken cooked in a secret blend of spices is available alongside tender smoked ribs marinated in signature BBQ sauce, while smaller tapas-style dishes are perfect for sharing, with options like spicy crackerjack prawns, and grilled chorizo with padron peppers. There are generous combo platters, juicy steaks, well-stacked burgers, and a great salad selection with premium additions.
All kinds of sweet treats are served on the dessert menu at this Harvester in the Bournemouth. The sundae selection loads real dairy ice cream with toppings like warm chocolate fudge brownie, raspberries and honeycomb pieces, while classic British options like Bramley apple pie sit alongside international twists like key lime pie. From the bar, there are world beers, spirits, and speciality soft drinks for the kids.
Boasting an unbeatable location and wonderfully friendly ambience, Harvester Neptune is a 6-minute drive from Bournemouth Rail Station.

Surprised at how much the prices have increased since I last visited a Harvester! No longer a cheap meal and sweets very expensive. (Although the Mango and Passion Fruit sundae was delicious and plenty enough for 2 to share....If your partner enjoys the same sweet of course!) Would prefer a selection of smaller sweets at half the price! Plus the salad bar was awful, whereas in the past that was the main reason I would choose a Harvester. Very much doubt I will choose a Harvester for a meal out in the future. More likely to go for a Wetherspoons or a Toby for a cheap meal and a vintage inn or independent for a special eve. The poor waitresses were rushed off their feet, although very nice to us. The food also took ages to arrive. All in all, not good.

We booked online so table was ready and waiting, the service and Steve in particular who was our server was brilliant attentive and informative. The place was busy so we did have a little wait but that's to be expected. The food was really nice and the description on the menu matched what we got.
Overall a lovely dinning experience.

Mega ribs lovely, enjoyed the salad bar too. Waitress Jess was really bubbly and attentive even after working a long day full of enthusiasm for her job.
