The refillable drinks should be a option still , children like it as well as adults .
Also black pepper on chicken when served should be optional not everyone likes it .

Last time we came to the harvester the food was nice. This time it wasn't so good. Part of my main course was a Jacket Potato. Then it arrived the skin was quite burnt and the whole potato inside tasted burnt. I mentioned this to our server and was given a fresh one, sadly also burnt and tasted as bad.

Upon arriving at the Harvester, we were greeted and advised that there was an issue with the extractor fan, i.e. not working thus causing the grill unable to operate, we were informed then that only certian foods would be available. However, the gentleman was going to check to see how long this would be as the engineer had been called. He informed us that the extractor had only been cleaned the previous night!! Surely, it would have been better if this clean had been delayed bearing in mind how busy it was going to be with the 50% off offer being emailed out. This reduced menu obviously had a knock on effect on the days takings.
We decided to get a drink whilst waiting, when we noticed from the real ale pumps that all the signs were turned round, indicating that there was no real ale available!! Being a regular diner there, this is not the first time this has happened.
However, even with the reduced menu, we decided to eat, the waitress came over and we placed our order, 1/2 chicken rossitere one with rice and the other with chips. Both came up with chips! we did not question this as we had already had a good 3/4 hour wait and was hungry, maybe we should have as we heard others complaining that their chips had pepper on them when they clearly asked for no seasoning. The waitress did apologise although it did not sound as thou she meant it.
The evening has left us feeling in two minds as to whether our money would be better spent elsewhere..............
